Does anyone remember how conservative we played in 2009?

Our offense was so vanilla at times it was ridiculous. I can remember letting team after team hang with us until the 4th quarter and running dive plays with Chris Rainey and Jeff Demps and completely scratching my head. Who knew it was Meyer and not Mullen who was the conservative one?

The reason I wanted Chip Kelly and not Mullen is because I thought Mullen was a coach who wasn't ballsy enough for me on offense.

The frick did I know.

You can bitch about him getting too cute or whatever, but that mofo has got some stones to call anything at any time during the biggest moments of the biggest games. He has to be the biggest pain in the arse for defensive coordinators in the country.

We went 12-0 in 2009 and "fans" bitched about not beating teams bad enough. They acted like we were 3-9.

We didn't have Percy and didn't have a lot of firepower from the 2008 BCS title team.

While I will agree with you that Percy is a big loss, we had tons of firepower on that team.
Riley Cooper
Aaron Hernandez
Deonte Thompson
Brandon James
David Nelson
Jeff Demps
Chris Rainey
Emmanuel Moody
Mike Gillislee

And of course Tebow. We were horribly conservative with all that talent and SPEED!

Was Mullen not the OC in 2009?

Well hell, that kind of shoots the shite out of my whole theory.

I thought he left in 2010.

Yes, Steve Addazio was a joke as an OC. That roster was loaded with NFL talent.

Fans should have bitched. I was really good friends with a girl at that time who grew up friends with Cooper. Every game he called her post game. They were basically family. I heard the anger after a few games. Specifically about the play calling and not using the WR's like they needed to.

Addazio was a terrible play caller and he is the exact reason that team regressed. Not having Percy sucked sure, but we still had an elite WR group and two insanely fast backs. He just had zero freaking clue how to use them.

12-0 is great...but we returned 20 of the 22 starters from the title team. Was no reason to have actually regressed some except coaching.

Everyone thought losing Harvin was the biggest loss of that off season. Losing Mullen was easily a bigger loss.

And Mullen should've beat us that year. I think I remember some controversy about Dustin Doe returning a pick six and dropping the ball before he crossed the goal line. Also, Percy was a big loss that year, yes, but the real loss was not having Mullen. I think if we had Mullen we probably go back 2 back.

I love you and real, but y'all can sometimes take shite way to seriously. Being wrong about something isn't the end of the world. It's Ok that I made a mistake, and it makes this thread way funnier.

Gillislee was injured most of 2009...he didn't pan out til 2012 as a senior.

Demps and Rainey were scat backs and weighed no more than 175 soaking wet.

That should be too serious. Come on bigD get with the program.

Plus another word of advise, don't do sig bets, especially when your team is a 14 point underdog.

Don't try and be an English teacher when you don't know the difference between advise and advice. Also might want to take the stick out of your arse and have a little fun with the miscreants on the rant. It won't hurt you to tote around a funny signature for a few weeks.

I do, spell check didn't bale me out.

Ban and sig bets are stupid, especially if you are 14 point underdog. I don't see the fun in sporting a signature that shows you make bad choices for a few weeks. But to each his own, wear it with pride!

Forget it though, sorry if I offended you. I don't usually argue with other Gator fans on this or any other board. I was just making a joke. Straws is an exception to the rule.
