What the frick was that pitching performance? I though for sure when we tied it up 7-7 that it we would survive the scare.

Are we in for a long season, or is this just a fluke?

EDIT - Renaming as a running thread for the season cause why not

Coach Kevin O’Sullivan might be at the end of his rope. He is almost a decade away from his CWS title and the off-field issues have been piling up. And yes, he’s gotten back to Omaha fairly regularly, and he has fielded some gritty teams that earn their ticket the hard way.

But if this years team isn’t talented (or gritty) enough, and we have a repeat of last year, it might be times up for Kevin.

But let me add that I absolutely DO NOT want this clown of an AD making the next baseball hire.

Stricklin is an absolute douche canoe. He will destroy the baseball program.

Blame Stricklin, I agree with your 2nd post. He will royally screw up the next hire

Well, there you go. We either win with grit, or we don’t win at all.

Scott is an absolute piece of garbage of an athletic director.

We were told before the alumni and former players that made it big were funding baseball extra stuff since its not a bìg money sport.

Gary Condron was a former uf baseball player but seems to put his $ into football.

Regardless the UAA showing how cheap they are and holding our programs back.

Imagine if we were willing to spend more like UK and kept Aberdeen along with having fland and Lee. My god we’d be so stacked in basketball, but the UAA does what they do, especially under foley jr aka Scott Stricklin

We do not have the big money boosters willing to donate it seems. I donate, but it def can't even pay for a punter or back up PG or Pitch Hitter.

Let's hold up on forming the posse just yet. Peterson had a bad outing, so let's see if he can get his form. His stuff is good. I didn't like laying an egg on opening day either, but we came back with two wins today to take the series.

I would rather the huge prioritÿ is football then basketball. I dont think much revenùe should go to sports not making mòney. Boosters can fund them specifically if they want.

I am 100% in agreement.

Football is the heart of UF sports. If football is successful, it will trickle down to the other sports. That is especially true with revenue sharing. The more NIL we get for football, the more of the revenue sharing funds we can use for sports like baseball.

I hate Stricklin and think it is long overdue for him to be gone from UF. That said, UF is not among the worst NIL budgets for P4 schools in baseball. It's just not true, we're not #1 or anything but we are extremely competitive with the upper tier.

Feeling alot better about the situation after we trashed UAB in games 2 & 3 and @Stetson after the opening day loss.

No doubt our NIL is pitiful compared to the rest of the SEC, its no dig at Sully, he has done a great job with what he was given, considering the admin does not have his back at all (see the Coastal Carolina bullshite last season).
