Spring games should just turn into Fan Appreciation days. Make it a spectacle like Mullen used to do. Have the real scrimmage behind closed doors.

No, we have 3 months with nothing to talk about, at least we can discuss how great we looked against ourselves in the spring game.

https://www.on3.com/teams/florida-gators/news/billy-napier-explains-decision-to-not-televise-florida-spring-game/

quote:

“Once we didn’t necessarily get the call to be one of the prime spots, I think we felt like, ‘Hey, what are the advantages and disadvantages?’ So, gives us the freedom to just call everything,” Napier said. “We also felt like we’d get better attendance. People want to see the show. In general, couldn’t have asked for a better day.”

With the game not on TV, more fans did attend. The announced crowd was 56,563, which marked the largest since 2009 and fourth largest spring game attendance since 1984.

The UF men’s basketball team celebrated its national title in The Swamp, which increased the turnout. Napier said the hoops halftime celebration also impacted the TV decision.

Fairly good for a couple of years. Maybe you forgot. Mullen's recruiting and loyalty to coordinators was his downfall.

You are missing the point. If the choice is to have a televised game or not have a televised game, I'd rather they televise something even if it's fluff. If their concerns is portal poaching then save the real shite for behind closed doors but still give the fans something to talk about.

So we agree, I thought the game should have been streamed and shown on SEC Network whenever time permits.

It's another case of fans supporting the team, coaches. Hope for the best and yell Go Gators whenever you can. Go Gators!!!
