Sounds like it could be true. You always have basic interviews done just in case. He was really arrogant about how he said Riley or Kiffin wouldn't become the coach back when Napier was hired. He wants Chorus boys I guess.

Damage control it appears. Did Condron say that mess about hoping we got #2 at that site? If he did I bet he did push the AD on this. Just like the joke article years back where Condron said it was entirely on the AD to hire the coaches after he was on 247 or one of them back then saying Riley or Kiffin would 100% not be considered while we were given Napier.

Also the Auburn people seem to believe we're offering more than they are and are freaking out too.
If we get left holding the bag after firing a coach two months ago I'm going to get banned. This should not be this big of a shite show at this point.

Then he was influencing the AD for sure. I guess he never got over his mess with Riley and Kiffin from last time. Was hoping there could be a miraculous save here but hard to see anything changing with Kiffin hearing this about the top booster.

Yep I bet he was pushing that decision today stuff while hoping maybe Kiffin wouldn't give one today. Now we might never know if he was really wanting to come here. Saban will likely tell him to avoid us with Condrons mess.
