Fisch is a UF alumni, so UF means something to him, not just a paycheck. Having a coach who loves a school as much as the fans is very different. Plus he has done very well in a program with much less resources.
I think him, Lane, or Alex from USF are the top three in most UF fans minds..Drink...is hated

Fisch was up there but definitely have more questions after UDub lost to a terrible WISC team. Golesh and Kiffin are my top 2.
Agreed with others on Drink...also guy is a first class jackass too and a mid coach at best.

I have no opinion on Fisch but I don't see them paying his 11 million or so buyout to get him.

I don’t want Lincoln anywhere near UF. He’s been mediocre at USC and after how he arrived there…. Alex would be the most affordable, but it’s just a bigger risk. I think Fisch wants out of the PNW.

Also, seems like there has been a definitive shift on both UF and Ole Miss message boards. Lots of optimism on the UF side with insiders and reporters. Ole Miss boards seem a lot less optimistic than before and they are going after mods.
Personally, I won't believe anything until the announcement is public. The memories of Stoops (x2), Chip Kelly and Scott Frost are still seared in my brain. But I do think the trend is positive.

If you’re looking for legit info on a coaching search, the Ole Miss paid boards aren’t gonna help. Those people have all but been blackballed by this staff. Especially Neal and his idiots.

Seems like the top target is kiffin, with Lincoln as a backup and Kliff as the option behind that.
I don’t see the first two leaving so I’m leaning towards Kliff being the guy
Would be surprised if Golesh because Billy really killed any enthusiasm of going after a g5 guy but if we whiff on p4 targets then Golesh might happen. Shame too because he wouldn’t be a bad option for a g5 coach

I haven’t delved off too deep into this, but is Kliff really even in the picture?
As far as Alex, I think you might have a point with Billy ruining that, but he has as impressive a win in the swamp as Billy ever managed.

Sam did that with SEC resources. Alex did it with the angriest running QB I’ve ever seen and a bunch of spare parts. Arky is being looted currently. USF isn’t in the same league talent wise.
