Every strength coach is the best ever until he is let go, then he is the problem why we were not successful and then the next guy is the best ever.

Not sure what to think of the guy Napier promoted to that admin job and then he went to Georgia. Not sure if it was sour grapes on the players leaving like Princely or if the strength program was way too lax with not much accountability. I can't remember if it was during Mac or Mullen's tenure we changed strength coaches one time and quite a few guys got buffed but a few it was obvious they took steroids in the off-season. I remember that 09 team of Bama having a few guys it looked like their eyeballs were going to pop out they were so juiced. Claimed they took "deer antler velvet" to get jacked like that. lol

Looks like Johnson is out for Miami most likely as he had his knee scoped apparently. We may get to see what Baugh can do in there with Webb. Baugh looked good in the spring game and is already developed enough physically.

Makes Etienne look even more dumb for transferring. Could’ve been his team.

On another site they are saying Jackson is pushing Webb for the #2 spot behind Johnson. Whoever it is they better be able to block as I think Miami will be in our backfield on all likely passing downs.

With Jamari Lyons out for a long time we will be in big trouble if we were to lose another D lineman now.

I watched Dixon in the spring game and when he played some power 5 teams at San Diego State and its hard to tell with him as he didn't have to deal with rushers like Miami has but he does appear to at least have better footwork than George had. The one real good top NFL pick rusher UCLA had attacked other linemen in that game mostly.

230 on ABC in that heat
I know both teams practice in the heat and humidity. But teams across the south the opening weekend should never play afternoon games.

I think Napier gets a 4th year. Florida can get rid of coaches every 3 to 4 years and be competitive. Unless Florida goes 3-9 I think Napier will be here next year and with Lagway being the clear starter.
I really think Florida can get to 7 wins and if that happens with this schedule that is very good.
O LINE play will determine for Florida the Miami game
If mertz is pressured and on his back more then 10 or 12 times in the game then obviously Florida probably isn't winning that game unless Tre gets some space and makes some Toney like runs
Wish this would have been the week 0 game again!!!

8 wins minimum if coaching is improved. O line still a concern, this may open up more opportunities for Lagway due to his mobility.

Unless the Gators lose to Samford and UCF, Napier will be back as long as the team shows improvement. Go Gators.

We have officially become a complete joke of an administration thinking KY results are fine if Napier isn't fired for another losing record. Heck he should be fired for 6-6 if Mertz plays the whole season. We truly are becoming the Stanford of the SEC if our big boosters allow him to stay at 5-7. No other SEC possible national champion level program would ever consider that. Only KY, Mizzu, SC, Vandy, Miss State, Ole Miss and Arkansas would.

If we lost to Miami and then lost to A&M Napier might not make the Georgia game if things keep falling apart.
