UM just offered Harbaugh like 120 million to stay

Any question why they go to the playoff and we sit at home should be answered here.

Fk this team. Not watching a single game next season or beyond until they show they’re serious about competing.

It's frustrating because we have one of the most interesting schedules in a long time coming up but a staff so inept that I'm not even looking forward to it because we realistically could lose nearly every game on the schedule.

Even with a good staff this would be challenging, but it's gotten to the point with Napier that I expect to lose every game that we're playing now. With a good staff I'd think we'd have a chance even if we end up losing a lot.

I keep thinking and hoping that we've hit rock bottom and will finally start turning the corner.

But the frigging bottom keeps falling out from under us.

Despite being a realist, I strangely think Napier turns it around. Won't be on our timeline though. So have to get comfortable with that idea. Definitely tough to watch it all unfold.

Next season is going to be brutal regardless of changes being made now. But at least if we had a new OC who brought in an exciting offense and maybe win a game we thought we’d lose here n there we could feel more hopeful about this regime going forward.

Staying status quo is a nail in Billy’s coffin imo

i'm really beginning to think that our administration is really all in on Billy. they way his demeanor has been this season, especially during the ESD presser, has me thinking they really don't care what the fans or boosters think.

Stricklin told Napier that he was going to have 5-7 years for his "plan" and Napier is sure acting like that's true.

Also, I think Caw takes it to moronic heights, but I do think that a lot of our AD/UAA is "out of touch" with what it takes to be competitive in 21st century college football and/or don't care to be competitive as long as they money keeps coming in droves.

i'm curious if Sasse can do anything about it. is the UAA appointed by a board or are they hired by the president?

I also think this is really what is going on. Being mediocre still pays a lot, and the message board bubble isn't particularly representative of the fanbase usually. We'll see if all these people on various boards claiming they aren't renewing is an actual real thing.

If the UAA really is tying Napier's hand on who he can hire no matter the person and fire because of buyouts.
Then Florida doesn't deserve to have winning seasons in football any longer.

Because there is no way you could bring in another coach and tell him how who and when he can let go of mediocre coaches that are not doing there job.

It's crazy when you look at Napier's buyout and the $7.5 million a year we're paying him, plus his "army" of staffers.

In some ways, they didn't go "cheap" on this hire even though we have a pretty unproven guy at the helm. An unproven guy who demanded a lot upfront, yet they won't be willing to fire a shitty S&C coach?

There are numerous people reporting that to be true, so I suppose I'll take it as true, but it just seems weird and nonsensical in the larger context.

Hal keeps insisting it’s not happening
Idk why that clown wouldn’t since he is the biggest Napier dick rider
Maybe Napier is telling him that it’s not happening so he doesn’t tell everyone and someone swoops in to take him
But I doubt billy is smart enough to move like that

As most coaches will say, such is the life of running a college football program in 2023. Guys are coming and going seemingly every couple of months.

“But I don’t think it’s going to change. I think every year you’re going to face a very similar situation. It’s a new element to roster management in college football,” added Napier.

That is a very true statement and very sad as well. The UAA and NIL development need to step up, or all we will ever have are 5-7 & 6-6 seasons.
These guys want to get paid now, and if Florida isn't paying them, trust me, someone else will that. I'd probably be the reason we lost so many highly rated Recruits before signing day. If the NIL money truly isn't there, then it's going to be a long hard road for any coach that comes to the University of Florida.
So, unfortunately, we are all blaming Napier, but he can only do so much if his hands are that tied and the NIL money is not there.

We just landed Lagway and McCray, two top 10 prospects. NIL is fine.
