Derick Hunter commits to FSU. I thought the entire Big 3 had pretty much frozen him out, but I guess I was wrong.

A lot of people backed off of him (myself included) because of his antics. He had a lot of different teams at #1, said he would commit to Florida.
Clemson, FSU, Florida, Georgia were all #1 at some point.
Summerall and Pickering are both rated higher and worth less risk. Much less risk and baggage in general. He's just a super diva.

I told everyone to unfollow him a while ago. This was planned, but it's bad at every level.
The biggest issue I have is that he acts like Copeland but has a modicum of the skill. Copeland can be a diva because he was actually a really good recruit.
There are tons of players (especially our targets) who are better.

Give me Fuller over Hunter.

1,000%. I'll make that trade in a heartbeat. Hunter is just such a goddamn diva, man, without the talent to back it up.

Some buzz about 4 * DE FSU commit Quashon Fuller flipping to the good guys eventually.

Yeah, he was on a visit yesterday at Florida when Hunter committed. I'm going to imagine that did not sit well with him, either, since they play the exact same position and have similar sizes.
There's probably a lot of damage control in Tally today.

Pickering to MSU. Puts more importance on Fuller.

Hunter is Cowart without the talent.

He deleted his commitment picture for a second time last night.
And in reference to Pickering/the poster above: If there are two positions we can afford to miss in it's DE. We just picked up Shuler and have Langham and Chatfield, if need be we could easily crosstrain some LBs or DL without much of a problem.
What I really want to see are Safeties on defense right now. Maybe a CB or two.

I don't know - UF could always use more good DL. It's not like they've been lights out there. Although its hard for me to tell how much of that is a talent issue and how much was a weight room issue at this point.

We'll definitely see if there's a major difference soon. However, even in McElwain's last year, Bryan and Sherit were good. That being said: Apparently he was being recruited as a DT? If that's true, we already have Humphries. I think we're also going to flip Fuller, and that's looking more and more likely.

Every new staff has stories about how the old S&C guys sucked and the new guys are "transforming bodies".
shite I watched a video of Kent doing that at CSU during the first offseason. There were the same BSstories from insiders about "body transforming" the first Mac offseason.
I will judge Savage when UF is pushing around UK on the OL and DL like UF should.

I understand wanting to see the product first, and I've debated this a few times but there is one major difference between this year and McElwain's tenure at any school:
Not everything is coming from within the Gators program. Recruits almost always say "I didn't get x from the last staff, but this one is saying/doing the right things."
On top of that, the staff is much more transparent than McElwain's. Jason Higdon stated that both Muschamp and McElwain attempted to silence a lot of his reporting, and that he hasn't seen the same thing happening this time around.
Lastly, they're showing us their transformation. You can see the pictures, you can see the measurements and they give us these every couple of months.. Several players have already stated that they're lifting well above their maximums in comparison to last year.

Any word on Fuller now that the girls school has taken another DE commit?
To be honest I don’t know anything about their new commit and how he relates to Fuller as a player.
My hope is they know he’s leaving and are taking other prospects.

I’ll believe it when I see it in the field.

I honestly have no fluffin' clue regarding what's going on with Fuller/Hunter.
Hunter committed, then deleted his tweet, put his tweet up and then deleted it again. This was all happening when Fuller was on campus at Florida. I assume that they're connected, but it's absolutely impossible to predict Hunter who seems to just be playing around.
We'll be in rough shape if we don't land Steele and Pittman, though, and we'll be looking at more players that we need to be refined and who can't contribute immediately.

We all need to see it on the field, and if we don't then we may be looking at a Florida Dark Ages. If he can't get it done with tons of talent, experience and resources, he'll never get it done.
