So you're a self admitted fair weather fan? Got it.

And you wonder why people say you're not a real Gator fan?

Things are looking great for James Robinson. If he can keep his head on straight, that's a hell of a talented WR core we are going to put on the field next year. 1st team All SEC Antonio Callaway, emerging star in 6'2 Tyrie Cleveland, three good weaponsin the slot in Freddie Swain, Josh Hammond, and Dre Massey, and 6'2 4 star Daquon Green and 6'3 4 star in James Robinson. I love the influx of talent and size Mac has brought in at the wide receiver position.

It looks like UF is keeping WR Mike Harley from STA warm, in case Robinson doesn't work out.

Harley is underrated too. He was a really good playmaker for STA this year. I love James Robinson's size. Ive heard the staff was worried about some of his off the field issues, but he's talented enough to take a chance on. I hope he keeps his head on straight and can be a very successful player for us and a successful human beyond football too.

What the hell dmb? Just because that story was locked on other boards doesn't mean it needs to be locked here.

If you got any proof that it's either true or false, then I'd understand. But locking it due to "other sites" than that's just a shitty attitude.

LINK

This guy on Reddit claims that it's false but I highly doubt mostly anybody on a forum really knows anything that goes on within the program.

Eta: this kids story sound eerily similar...

I see your feeble mind still can't grasp that I can support a team but not like a HC. Sorry I'm not like you and that's fine. I'd cheer for Mac if I thought he knew what he was doing. Maybe this is the New normal. Just be happy you make the SECCG and have 4 blowout losses a year. I should have MSU or UK football expectations. On second I like watching uf win by scoring not struggling just to get a touchdown. You have a loser mentality that's why you can accept this awful display of play.

Finch...have you read the posts on almost EVERY board that that fricking story is almost all FALSE or at best greatly exaggerated? Of course you have.

Dumbass...first of all...ANY college will require a physical exam thats recent to avoid liability if a kid does any type of camp tryout...are you that naive? Camp cost $ 175.00 by the way...not $ 40.00. And any school would have required stretching...another liability issue.
Bama would have similar rules to avoid huge lawsuits. And Saban spent HOURS one on one with this kid? This kid by the way hasnt even started for his high school and this supposed event happen when he was a frosh in high school and threw a total of 4 passes? He thought he was just going to come to UF to throw a few passes? WTF.

Are you still that naive finchy? He threw a total of 16 passes this past year. I think his high school coach fricked up big time. Thats what the truth is and some rival is doing their best to hurt UF.

No one is accepting this. What Florida put on offense this year was building up for what it will become next year and beyond. Mac has had to build and has done a good job at building the depth along the offensive line, getting playmakers at wide receiver, and finding several good options at running back (if we count the two guys that will be coming in this season). All that's left on offense is finding and developing a quarterback capable of running it. This is Mac's biggest test and will be the test that determines his fate at UF. I can't wrap my head around you rooting against your team because you don't support the coach. I'm not going to tell you how to be a fan, but to me, I root for the Gators. I root for Mac, Muschamp, Urban, Zook, Spurrier, all of them to be as successful as they can be while they are the coach of the Gators. I certainly never would call for them to be fired after back to back 10 win and 9 (possibly 10) win seasons and SEC Championship appearances, and these two things happening in rebuilding years that nobody expected us to compete in.

I like watching Florida win. Period. I want them to go undefeated every year and win championships every year. I don't care how they do it. Mac has won a lot. 11-1 at home. 13-3 against the SEC. He's done what he is supposed to against the horrible east, he's 11-1. That's pretty dang good. Just think, Kirby is already 3-3 against the east. The record on the field doesn't matter though, cause he has all them great recruiting rankings, right? It doesn't matter unless you coach them up. Mac's proven he can coach up kids. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, pending how Franks and Trask perform next year. If we see competent QB play next year, our arrow will be pointing straight up. And recruiting and everything else will follow. Mac's entire tenure is going to come down to having Franks or Trask ready next season.

I totally understand separating the coach from the team.

Especially someone that doesn't have prior ties to the school.

You don't have to like the coach to like the team.

Finch, it was debunked on multiple boards buddy. Not just locked. Our coaches may not be great recruiters, but they aren't dumb people.

Makes a whole lot of sense. If the HC fails, your fav team fails.

So to root for the HC to fail, you are hoping for the team to fail. Great fans you guys are

Dude, seriously, get off your fricking high horse, I didn't say I was rooting for the coach to fail, I just said I could understand liking a team but not a coach.

If the coach fails it ultimately does hurt the school, but if you see a coach as detrimental to your school, like the school that you love, then I can see liking a team but not the coach.

For frick sake, you are as bad as TJ in the other direction.

Absolutely. I didn't like Muschamp, but I didn't openly root against him and wish for him to fail as TJ has done consistently this year.

I do like Mac and I like the job he's done the last two years. There's a lot of room for improvement and I hope to see the improvement next fall. But for now, let's close out this class strong with the several 4 stars and couple of 5 stars were in on, fill our needs with quality players and add new ones to build up the depth, and finish this class in the top 10

Everything will fix itself if UF has a legit QB.

Until then, everything UF football related will be up in the air.

Well....I liked Dickey, Pell, Galen, Zook, Muschamp and now Mac. Loved Spurrier of course and what he has done for our school...not just as a coach...but player also..most of you have no freaking idea of what UF suffered through before Spurrier arrived...and yes...he did inherited one of the nations best defense...but worse offense.

I love UF and proud to be a second generation native living in the best state in the US. Will never apologize for being fervent about supporting our coaches. Sure Im older but I can tell you right now I feel mentality about 30 yrs old and can hang with anyone.
