I'm more impressed that Kirby Smart said privately we were his top destination (if Spurrier hadn't nixed that by announcing he's returning).
With a guy like that w/ a Bama/UGA pedigree you gotta think he considers us a stepping stone, but still... that guy will have his pick of allllmost any job in the country when he leaves Bama.

Deke needs to be fired. Botkin ... not sure yet but yeah, maybe, probably. He's worried. Whammy doesn't want to fire Deke or Botkin.

That's the thing, nobody is going to offer him $2+M to be a coordinator, and the highest paid OC/DC was Morris at $1.3M. So we can buy in at the level, we have the chips.
I hope this all gets settled within a week or so. Although, for one reason or another, I think the longer this takes, the better our chances. Probably b/c we are trying to sign these JUCO's.

I still can't believe they pay Morris that. I mean I get it, you gotta pay for people to do what you can't (Dabo) but he hardly warrants that much money. Anyone know what Kiffen makes, hate him but I'd say he's that better value at OC.
