We field an above average offensive line. Now it's time to be objective.

LT is a freshman...will be better weekly.
LG is a fla atlantic transfer
Center is a 4th year senior that should be a backup
RG is a nc a&t transfer
RT is a guy who just completed his first full game

Nobody but Thompson is a big time get. The coaches are happy with our depth but they are backups for a reason. GAMECOCK LEVEL backups.

Now I look at 2025 and see that 3 starters need to be replaced. I have no hope that next group will magically be sec level either.

4-7 to 6-6 Is where sc is going to reasonably finish in perpetuity...

The best lineman was simpkins, the transfer from NC a&t. Bell, at left guard should not be starting over Baugh. Henry at RT whiffed on a few plays. Would rather see Tree at RT.
Of course this coaching staff won't figure out the best players until the 10th game.

6-6 this season would feel like 9-3. I predicted 5-7 and leaning towards 3-9 now. Might only be two.. Wofford will not be pushovers.

The bough move surprised me.

Babalade not nailing down a starting spot is also disappointing..

Bur we don't have quality bodies..

it's crazy that Elliott is back at USC coaching TE while Teasley continues to fail coaching OL in 2 seasons -

Adkins wasn't necessarily trending to get better OL results before he had to step away - than what Elliott did in his time as OL coach here - either -

This is why Beamer will fail in the end. i like the guy enough, but he just doesnt have the juice to back it up.

i so want to be wrong but i dont think i am.

I remember you backing Kingston even though everyone else was against it. You finally came around. At least you're positive which we need more of

I more so was backing letting the season play out, I still had clear expectations for him or else. I didnt see a use in getting overly upset when we still had talent and the opportunity to make a run. The UGA series kind of broke me though. I guess I am still doing the same here for football, at the end of the day we are 1-0. I would agree I am probably overly positive and optimistic, but there are some here who are equally pessimistic. The true reality will probably be somewhere in the middle.

Some stuff Beamer does drives me mad, but we are 1-0 and I personally didnt think the issues were unfixable, which I think last year after the UNC game was was not as optimistic

I still can’t get over the fact that we hired a guy who not only has never ever been a HC in his whole life, but he has literally never been a OC nor a DC either. I can understand if a FCS program had hired Beamer with that resume but why the frick would our AD do something so stupi… oh wait!

I'm thoroughly impressed. Actually I could not be happier.

The players took it upon themselves to embarrass stoops again
