Yea sure coach them up
But the stats prove national title winners get atleast one top 10 class (and today it’s looking more like top 5)
And don’t average lower than 15

You’ll more often see teams with top ranked classes flop, than teams with low ranked classes make the playoff

For sure I would love to start packing top 12 classes on top of each other but I want to see us recruiting for our needs and not for the amount of stars.

Well we have at least 2 perennial championship contenders on our schedule every year. Rather than go around with a championship or bust mentality, lets keep it simple and focus on being able to beat those 2 teams, with their polar opposite styles on both sides of the ball, and adapt our gameplan for everyone else based on their similarities to the 2 big ones.

I agree 18-25 won't be enough to get us a ship, but with the right mentality and development it might be enough to get us ranked and in some kind of conversation. Then you flip that to some 10-15 classes, and keep repeating that. Then, just try to not throw everything away (or even let rumors start and spread) in five years, and maybe we can build something formidable.

Looks like we're trending for a pretty decent safety. Rose. 6'4" 180 Think he was like an 87 on 247

Remember the days when Gamecock fans would get excited about a 4* or 5* guy we're in the running for? Now it's 3* we post about.

Not really. I guess we had a few high 4 star and what 3 or 4 5 stars but not many. I remember 2 and 3 stars like Deebo, DJ, pharaoh, devin taylor, Dylan Thompson, Skai, dj wonnum, Ace, Big Byron, Wilds, Antonio allen, Shaq Wilson, tori gurley.....vs Shaq Roland, jam williams, keksey griffin, larenz Bryant, hilinski, the busts just go on and on. Lot of em are on the roster right now or just transferred. Then you have a guy like Kevin Harris. So this safety looks damn good to me

Reading comprehension issues? I clearly stated excited about their recruitment not how they played. I know you thought you had a " gotcha " moment but your lack of comprehension led to your failure. I guarantee you that the players you listed threads on Cockytalk came no where near as long as Lattimore, Gilmore, Clowney, Mike Davis, ect...
People were not running around excited about a 2* QB signing and 3* Wilds had no where the excitement of 5* Marcus.
Now try again...

And the days Gamecocks have been in the running for hi 4* and 5* recruits have been far and few between. Even during the best years. I understood everything you wrote.

I'm sorry you're to damn stupid to understand the English language. You tried moving the goalposts and got called out. The only bitch I see is the one crying because his " gotcha" post got crushed and thrown back in his pu**y face.

The issue you're going to have here is I can back up any shite I say . This is a forum not real life. You might want to keep it that way or we can meet at Sonic in Winnsboro.

No you didnt understand. The HBC was having great years of recruiting. He had a few classes with over 10 4* recruits each year. We had 1 of his classes with like 8 top 100 players. The recruiting excitement was pretty high back then AND ITS NOT ANYMORE WHICH IS EXACTLY THE POINT I WAS MAKING!
You were on Cockytalk can you honestly say that 3* guys had bigger threads then the 4& 5* guys? No you can't but you would rather get bitchy because I pointed out that your response had nothing to do with my statement. Grow the freak up!

Then the Rant is not the forum for you.

And while I'm at it your list of guys you remember, well Deebo was a 4* by 247 and Skai Moore was a 4* by 247 and P. Cooper was a 4* by rivals

Yea, at the end of the day we found some diamonds in the rough

But the majority of our all Americans/first round draft picks were 4 and 5 stars

I 100% agree. The recruiting " diamonds in the rough" got our basketball team to where it is. We can ill afford to do the same type of recruiting in football.
