Doubt it was a dig. Its just his philosophy.
Elliot and most of the staff can recruit anyways. Sands and Spurrier Jr. were the two that were dead weight on the recruiting trail

Elliott, Mangus and Botkin could recruit. The others were hot garbage in recruiting the past 4 years.

Overall, I thought Boom killed that press conference. Very matter of fact and intense. Loved his answer to Scott Eisberg's question about Clemson passing us. "We are going to worry about South Carolina."

That's an interesting name. He's from the area where current RB AJ Turner is from. He's a decent recruiter, and even better evaluator of talent and he's produced some record breaking players at UVA and Wisconsin. (Taquan Mizzell RB at UVA and WR Jared Abbrederis at Wisconsin.)
He was also the Rec Coord for WVU ('08-'10) when they assembled their awesome team that put up 70 on clemson (after '11 season.) Those were his guys.

Bentley's twitter has himself as RB Coach at South Carolina, seems pretty official to me. Mentioning since it hadn't been confirmed officially yet.
