Boykins and baw isn't an apples to apples comparison because Boykins isn't slated to be a buck. I'd say hands down Boykins is better than Greene. And to that point I think we both agree on wanting another lb, but with those 2 signee, we now have 7 or 8. With teams spreading it out more we rarely have more than 2 on the field.

True but I've never felt like baw was a true buck and was playing it out of necessity.

Body type wise I completely agree, but mentality wise he was perfect. You always have to account for the possibility that he could be bringing pressure but he's just as likely and just as talented at dropping into coverage

One thing that Coach pointed out in the pressers is the two "lost players" of the 2018-2019 class. If you look at the rankings, both Josh Belk and Jamel Cook count against this class, but aren't figured in the team rankings. Both are Top 100, 0.95+ ranked 4*'s. If you figure those guys in the class It boosts us up quite a bit.

Watts is down to us, ucf and ole miss. Muschamp said he would like to have a few more db this class so this would be a main one to look at imo. Kid has great measureables and just needs technique.

Someone please explain to me how Tennessee is killing it on the recruiting field. I dont want to hear about their past history as the 18 year olds were either in diapers or not born since the vol's were relevant.

I agree, especially with no OC in place.

Xavier couod be a 3rd wr in this class but i think he will start out as emergency depth at safety and special teams. This kid is a day 1 special teams player imho. Takes great angles and is strong and loves to hit hard. He reminds me alot of Edwards coming out of HS, remember we only got Edwards cause he wanted to play WR and Clemson offered him as a safety. Many scouts said if Bryan would have played safety he'd have been a rare 5 star safety. Now I'm not saying xavier is as good as Bryan but kid has similar traits

Early playing time paired with a coach that's been a part of 3 or 4 national championships

We have early playing time and we have a coach that not only has been part of a nc but also coached in the nfl.

They've always been strong with the "benefits." We are cheap as hell in comparison.

Sorrells has been killing it from the film I’ve seen at the AA game.

Every bit of film I've seen of him he totally dominates his opponent. The only reason I can see him as not being a take is due to grades but I also thought he could come on board as a academic redshirt. Our DL would be nasty with him.

He seems to like us, so I hope we would do what it takes to get him in.

A fellow poster on CT, 3 and out, has a membership on tbs and posted that info on 27dec18. I don't have a membership to confirm but that info has fallen inline with what I've heard concerning his grades.

To be honest that poster thinks its because our coaches are happy with what we have at dl. I personally think he is the best player left that we could get regardless of position. We do get an official on the 18th. I really really want this kid. I have yet to see any film on another d linemen, this year, that is as dominate as he is.
