For right now it's UGA and Clemson. I would be amazed if they could get QB Lawrence, RB White and XT in the same class.

Where did u see that? He's said within the past week he was 99% sure he was coming to either USC or Clemson & that 1% was Bama. There's an article on State about XT saying he would've committed already if SOS was still the coach but that WM took over a program in the ditch & he's excited to see where we're headed. He's been a Gamecock his whole life & called us his dream school. He's definitely ours to lose.

My bad, confused Zamir White and XT for a second. I was mistaken. Still hope Champ and co. can get this young man on board. Would definitely be an instant help on our defense.

I think xt just wants to see progress this season. I saw an article where he said, paraphrasing
People think I'm going to clemson because of the facilities and the championship. I already knew about the facilities and I already thought they'd win the championship.
Kinda down played it somewhat. He had every reason to commit to them and hasn't. Show progress this year and we could definitely snag him.

Sounds like we're sort of making the same pitch to XT that Spurrier's staff did to Clowney - Come to SC, and you'll be the face of the entire program, beloved by all, etc.

i wonder how these kids are going to react when Clemson ends up going 7-5 or 8-4. That team was all mike Williams and Watson neither of which will be returning.

Mike Williams drew a lot of coverage away from Renfrow so we will see if he can match or exceed what he has done. Renfrow can make some plays but it's different when ppl aren't worried about a 6'4 moving target on the outside

He looks like the biggest kid on the field in his highlight video, don't think competition he faces is that good. We are by far his best offer as well. He has the measurables to be good once we get him in the weight room, so we'll see how he turns out.

Are they in a big division? I haven't heard much about CE Murray so maybe the fact that it isn't a big time program is why he hasn't gotten as much attention. TM over at 247 seems to think his stock will continue to rise. Has good jumping ability as noted by him dunking all over a kid recently. I'll see if I can post the highlight.

Well CE Murray is a 1A school I think. I went to Kingstree we were 2A-3A when I was there. The level of competition has decreased some in the area.

Ok 1A could make sense. Small school in middle of nowhere SC typically means, and I'm not trying to stereotype here, little $$ in the area. A lot of recruiting rankings especially early on depends as much on getting your name out there by paying to go to on campus camps and things like "the opening" etc as actual talent at the position. Now that he has not only gotten an offer from us but we have accepted his commitment, I would expect more people to look into him and thus his offer list will rise.
FWIW Tony at 247 mentioned that we will likely take 3 at his position and if he had to pick he said he would take Rush over Demarcus Gregory from Byrnes and this was before the #SpursUp. His complete list was Darius Rush, Dennis Smith, and Josh Vann(4*).

i live in Williamsburg county where CE Murray is located. I can tell you that the area is more of a farming agriculture/sportsman area. This county has always had players coaches were just sloppy about sending out film to different programs.

Yeah I think I saw somewhere that they are now going after the#1 rb on our board master Teague. Hall of fame name imo
