Lots of MSU there, I wouldn't say it was that bad.

Wouldn't say it was brutal, but we do always seem to catch Auburn, Ole Miss, & Bama on their up years and rotate them off on their "down" years.

Arkansas and MSU heavy...I'm willing to bet someone's got a tougher one than this. It would be interesting to see this done for all the teams.

dallasga6 made a summary of all SEC teams' cross division opponents on the Rant yesterday. It's just an overall record, not year-by-year. LINK

That's only for the permanent opponents ... doesn't include the rotating opponents which was my point, also observed earlier.

We seem to draw Auburn and Bama on their best seasons.

I seriously doubt any other team from .... well, let's stop and think about it.

Auburn plays Georgia every year as a permanent opponent.

LSU plays Florida every year, as a permanent opponent.

Tennessee plays Bama every year as a permanent opponent.

Combined, Ark and MSU have won three SEC West championships. They are our permanent opponents. But where we seem to have been unlucky, with regard to the schedule draw, is having drawn Bama during what, three national championship years? And Auburn and LSU during another one or two or whatever.

Our rotating opponent draw has been very unlucky. Out of balance even.
