mean yeah we could be such a train wreck we keep on the WR coach and hire him as the HC.
Hmmm

The way people are talking themselves into liking the Beamer hire is funny.
The morning show today...one of the hosts said he likes the potential Beamer hire because he knows the inner workings of South Carolina's administration.
I mean, wtf?

It's a new administration. Pastides vs Caslen. That argument is moot.

And the first thing this new guy should have done was canned Tanner

Getting rid of Muschamp to hire Beamer is like breaking up with an ugly girl just to date her twin sister that’s 30 minutes younger who ain’t never sucked a dick before.

South Carolina was ready to announce Beamer this week, but he's slowed down the process on his side. Beamer told SC he wanted to take his time and evaluate all offers (i.e. wanting to see what happens with VT job).
SC is now also re-evaluating and having a second interview/discussion with Napier this weekend.

The guy who has made nothing but lateral position coach moves his whole career will now have other offers?

Good let someone else hire Beamer. The guy has been an assistant everywhere he's been. The universe is trying to prevent Tanner from fricking up this hire....

Isn’t there a thread as well as multiple people saying he’s not even involved?

The only way a Beamer hire is remotely palatable is if he is taking a low salary and a low buyout and investing heavily in assistants because he ain’t intimidating anyone.

We should just get Napier. He at least clearly wants to be here and I want him over Beamer anyway if we can’t have Freeze.

It's his agent at this point. He's telling Napier to hold out for Tennessee.

I don’t think Beamer is our first choice
I think we are getting turned down a lot

The question is, why fire Will Muschamp mid-season if Shane Beamer is the best replacement you can get? Isn't the whole idea of firing a coach mid season is so you can get a jump of hiring "the guy" before anyone else does? You only do that if the guy you're going after is going to be in demand at the end of the year. That is not Shane Beamer. Nobody (else) is picking up the phone to offer him a head coaching gig. As much as I hate to say it but if Beamer is your guy, wouldn't you suffer through the rest of the season with Muschamp and lower his buyout? (The results on the filed are going to be the same with or without him.)
The whole thing is just screwed up from top to bottom.

I actually think that was genius
They knew he wouldn’t win, so it was just more proof to not hire him as the OC or HC
