Lets try to remain positive and decide if this is actually a good hire. I recall him having good game managing QB's at UGA.
Murray
Mason
Stafford

Question is play calling. I seem to recall his play calling to be pretty bland and head scratching. Please correct me if I'm wrong, as I'd love to be. Can anyone give any insight on what he ran or how he did with it at CSU?

according to the guys on the radio, he adapted to what he had, and passed a lot more. Ran a lot more spread, albeit still coming from under center (which I am a fan of).

I don't see him running a hurry up offense which actually plays into Muschamp's style. Will likes to run the ball while taking time off the clock and Bobo is the type of OC that may help with that. Now that goes against where CFB is heading but it's the formula he used during his 9 win season here.
I think it also plays into our players strength. We don't have a dual threat qb and , besides Shi, none of our skill guys have the speed to strech the field.

The fact that he adapted his schemes to personnel at CSU gives me more hope than anything. Not saying he’ll put us top 20 offensively, I can see him bumping into the top 40 range which will be huge.

As a long time Georgia fan and alumnus, I know Bobos career well. He was a good QB, but had the misfortune of playing under Ray Goff his first 2 years.
He can coach a QB up very well and was groomed by Mark Richt to be a good OC. He was an average HC but his health problems may have contributed to that.
If Muschamp will give him the latitude to call his own game, he will do a good job. He is also a really good person.
We at Georgia would gladly take him back.

I thought the other day when I say his photos. "Being at CSU aged him 15 years in 4".

He suffers from severe Neuropathy. Numbness in the feet and legs and severe pain in the feet, like walking on needles. Common among Diabetics. I have it but not serious as of now.

That sucks to hear but he's at the right place. We'll have him something put together before the season starts we have the technology.

I think this is a common misconception. Aaron Murray and David Greene are numbers 3 and 5 respectively for career attempts in the sec. Granted I think bobo was only qb coach for Greene

Greene was the all time leading passer in the SEC until Murray broke it in 2013.

I have read many places that Bobo's offense is like no others in the SEC. It's not the SEC trademark offense so they have to prepare for something different from almost every team that will play us. I like that we are going to be different because trying to mimic the powers in the SEC without the same talent has been futile....and will remain that way. We have to step outside of the box and this is as close as we can get for now. I like the hire.

bobo is a fantastic OC, legitimatiely one of the 2-3 best we've had in our history. It's infurating listenign to the numbnuts in our fanbase who think he sucks, based only on their blackout drunk recollections from the stands. Richt was our playcaller from 01-most of 2006. Richt said he just felt called to give up playcalling, and did so the week prior to the tech game in 2006 which was bobo's first game calling plays. He did so from then until he left. His offenses were perfectly fine with teh exception of a stretch of 2009-2010, maybe 2011ish as well. The reason for that though is that we had mediocre QB play, mediocre RB play (seriously, some of those RBs wouldn't be 3rd or 4th string for us the last few years), and mediocre OL play. Idk what he's got to work with at SC but when we had good talent his playcalling was fine. In fact that last several years he was here, 2012-2014, we put up historically the best offenses we've ever had.

Joe Cox has been added to the staff as TEs coach and some more shuffling has occurred. Bentley will coach QBs along with Bobo, Krantz will move to analyst. Bobo will oversee the entire offense.

So. Many. Bulldogs. On. Our. Coaching. Staff.

ETA: Looks like we're getting another former Bulldog as well. Faton Bauta will likely be hired as an offensive analyst.
