.... or does he just try to go straight to the combines.

Because I seriously doubt there will be a place for him with Hilinski, Joyner and Doty on the roster. It wou,d be disruptive and it would skew the recruiting numbers not to mention signing a QB for the 21 class.

So, if he is going to grad transfer, and chances are he will imho because he needs another year before he'll be anywhere close to having any shot at the NFL .... will Bobby go somewhere else as well?

Because if that's already a possibility then that's gonna affect recruiting now.

Jake would big a huge get as a grad transfer for Geoff Collins in year 2 on the Flats at Georgia Tech.

Tech would also be a nice opportunity for Jake to be QB1 one final season for pro scouts.

I had not thought about that but that would be a win-win for both.

I definitely think he will go Grad Transfer route. If Hilinski continues to show poise and ability like he did Saturday(yeah I know it was against CSU) and Joyner continues a meaningful role, I really don't see how Jake gets back on the field. He has played his last in a Gamecock uniform. I thank him for what he did and wish him the best and a full recovery.

If Jake has any hope of having a big final season, he needs to go somewhere where he has a very reasonable chance of winning the job, where the coach runs a qb friendly system, and is excellent at developing qb's.

There really aren't that many, and every other Gardner Minshew in the world is going to be using the transfer portal now.

But he absolutely needs to go somewhere where is father will not be on the sideline.

All that said, he sure looked like he couldn't read a defense or check down here. And the accuracy and decision making issues.

That's gonna get fixed just by a relocation? Hate to say it, but he probably isn't going to land at a P5 school. Depending on what he wants to do, the NC game might have been his final game.

Literally what does he do if he transfers somewhere, and he becomes like the 3rd or 4th string qb?

Is he actually interested in engineering? Getting a free grad degree from GT is worth alot more than the average NFL earnings, over a lifetime.

And yes GT would take him in a heartbeat.

All Jake needs is a puka shell necklace, a Hollister shirt and some cargo shorts to perfect the 1990's, 3 Doors Down vibe that exists at Worstal Carolina.
