I wish Ace would enter the transfer portal. Let me see if I can find that post.

Is this it?
From Ace Dilcock:
Your beloved Tony Bennett's first year at UVA (15-16/5-11 ACC) was worse than Dave Leitao's last year at UVA, and he went 16-15/7-9 ACC in his second year. He made the NCAA in his third year, 22-10/9-7 ACC. Was he more deserving than South Carolina in Frank's 4th year - 25-9/11-7 SEC, and no NCAA bid? That is the advantage of being an established program and playing in the ACC.
UVA lost in the First Round of the NCAA that year - by 26 points to Florida. We played UF twice that year (under Darrin Horn!) and lost by less - if you combined the margins of the two games. In fact, Bennett has made the NCAAs four times and has a record of 3-4, including the ONLY loss to a #16 seed in the history of the NCAA tournament. By 20 points. Eddie Fogler says thanks for doing that - so people don't talk about #2 seed South Carolina losing to Coppin State as the worst First Round loss.
Bennett has three more NCAA tournament appearances but he only deserves two more - Frank should have made it another year, he had just as good a team as Bennett's first NCAA team. Oh, and Bennett has been at UVA three years longer. And Frank has more wins in the NCAA, a better winning percentage (.800), and a Final Four appearance.

I bumped it and asked Ace what he thought now lol

Ace responded:
LOL, Bennett had a nice run. He was also down at halftime in another #1/#16 match-up and was fortunate to win four other games (two in OT). Unlike football, a basketball is round - but still takes some funny bounces.
Speaking of football, I put all three major Men's sports in the same category - under-achieving seasons due to excess injuries (not the fault of the coaches), exacerbated by lack of depth (on the coaches, but Kingston can still pass some blame to his predecessor). The coaches seem to have addressed the depth so that injuries will have less impact moving forward. No excuses for next year.

Ace would argue that the gamecocks could beat the golden state warriors

First CT was down for months, and now the rant was offline this AM.
All after a bunch of Clempson posters invaded the rant yesterday.
Things that make you go

That was wrong, that was highway robbery.
I honestly believe that Frank Martin is about to go on a run. He's settling in and is about to get in a groove.

Rooster just to fill you in
This is a guy who was debating before Tony Bennett won the title that Martin was a better coach and had a better resume
I hope I never lose my mind like that (eh never mind already have)

Gotcha.
Yeah I'm not sure he was on sound footing there but I do believe Martin is a lot better than most give him credit for being.

He is what his record says.
I understand injuries etc but that’s why you build depth
I hope I’m wrong but I’m not confident about this year
And by that I mean go to the dance.
Posted on 5/21/19 at 4:50 pm to I Bleed Garnet
We're going to the dance this year even if the conference is better.

I don’t see it yet but could change
But wasn’t the conference really good last year and we finished 4th?
I know hindsight is 20/20 but we would have been in the dance had we scheduled an easier OOC.
Outside of Wyoming we definitely lost to all teams better than us
