I would like to state for the record it was not me. This idea had not yet crossed my mind. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Kenneth Hoskins owns the site, so I'll just go with what he says.
Now, he could be moving it because of a hack. But that is at least the reason why the site is still down.

On the bitcoin thread Lonnie and I were discussing the hacking of ct by foreign nationals. I had posted on it when this weird stuff started appearing. Now CT had been having issues a couple of days prior then it came up and within an hour India or Pakistan hacked it. I was also told it was being moved but I personally saw the hacking.

Honest to God, why? I swear there must be so little to do in the world to go through the effort to hack a free site that is populated by a bunch of Gamecock nerds.

I would not put it past tators being behind it. Also Cockytalk had become the Premier free Gamecock site and there is immature jealousy because of that.

It could just be a bot too.
And CT happened to be on a server of something else they were hacking.
It's a very weird business but hackers make a ton of money nowdays.
Saw some video the other day on youtube where and ex hacker was showing how just from getting peoples email addresses he was able to trace it back to social security numbers and credit card numbers.

I guess my question is why hack Cockytalk. We don't have our ss# or cc# info on there. It's not like its some powerhouse web site so why waste your time on a site that 99.9999% of the world, outside of America, has never heard of?

Yea I backtracked.
Not a fanbase.
Just a hacking and I don't think CT was singled out. Just happened to be on something and was hit with it.
Other sites probably down as well that ran off the same server.

We do but i know for a fact it's not totally true. My 1st cousin went to clempson then he went to MIT and writes computer programs for insurance companies.

No they don't but what do you use to sing up there? an email address.
They can find ways to get things just with that.
