Circling back to last Saturday, because nobody's said it yet, I have to give props to Beamer and the coaches on their clock management vs Missouri. This is something they've haven't been good at in the past. But they got scores in under 1 min to go in both haves last Saturday night. It was the difference in the game.

I dont know why looking back I thought we had more predictions...but we only had like 3 or 4. Either way, nobody picked 9-3. I saw 6-6, 7-5, and 15-0.
but if we make it in somehow (we won't ) I will be the only one with the correct pick of the playoffs

Tonight's the penultimate CFP rankings. For all my bravado on the main board, We all know where we are going to be. 13th.

Honestly, this is part of why I miss the old system. 12 teams does give teams like us a chance going forward I guess. But even just a few years ago we’d have:
9-3 season with a W over Clemson
Only excitement, no disappointment of missing the playoffs.
No chance Clemson makes the playoffs
We’d get to a good bowl game with a chance to get 10 wins
No massive bowl game opt outs, if any
No concerns about losing half the team to the Portal
In short, we’d be completely satisfied (which I mostly am) but the current system allows for all this crap to bring you down just a little bit.

Just stopping in to say congrats on a great season. LSU cheated you guys out of the playoffs and I'm a little relieved that you weren't on our schedule

disagree on both counts.
The players simply didnt make plays today. Sellers was high on several throws, M Smith should have caught that ball, then the fake was there but a poor throw killed that. Add in some stupid penalties that were BS, and our Kicker being absolutely worthless.
Bert coached like a count, and is classless but he didnt outcoach him by a mile
as for Shula...I thought the play calling was fine. He didnt want Sellers to get hurt, and in a bowl game I can understand that. I thought there were several opportunities for our guys to make plays and they didnt always. I think we will be fine with Shula

southpawcock, I saw you post about Nussmeier winning the academy award for his flop in our game. It is bad/petty that I set a google calendar reminder for the day after the Oscars to make a troll post of such? "Best actor in a supporting role goes to...."
