Saw that, too. And I wondered (hoped, actually) if it meant Roper was out the door.

I will gladly either that if we keep the same offensive scheme Ole Miss used.

Reading about Longo.... would gladly take if he brought this in.

Just spoke to a co-worker that went to Ole Miss, and asked him about these guys. His response was basically, "I wouldn't really be excited about about either if I was a Gamecock fan."

Seems like they really credit most of their success on offense the last few years to Freeze. He also said Werner isn't a very good recruiter, and he hasn't really seen enough of Longo to form an opinion, especially considering what Ole Miss went through this year with losing Freeze and Patterson.

Obviously, pretty much anyone would be an upgrade to Roper, but my feelings around these guys are "meh" at the moment.

I think one of the problems OM fans had with him was the run game, or lack thereof. He also didn't change the offense in the second half to compensate for their inability to run, or something like that.

It was reported that muschamp had talked to him. In all honesty, there well be a lot of names/ speculation before it's all said and done

I would like to know what's going on behind the scenes in regards to McClendon, Bentley, etc. I have a bad feeling that McClendon will pursue other opportunities if he is passed over, and his recruiting prowess is means enough to try and keep him on this staff at all costs.

Also, we have that additional coach that we need to hire. I wonder how much that will play into this OC search if any. Technically, we now have two spots to fill.

Well I'm pretty sure it won't be Henry's dad that gets the second spot.

I agree with you about BMac. He's a real talented recruiter and that's what we need the most at the moment. I am excited to see what he brings to the table as a temporary OC.
