I liked the kid's high school film. But the obvious knock on him was his size.

I see he has a ton of tackles. Is that because he flies all over the field? Or is he picked on by OC/QB's because he is smallish and a freshman. A little of both?

(I'm not trolling. It was a big discussion on UGA boards about him, and I am curious how his first year went). Tia

it's a mixed bag and the concerns, at least for this year, were warranted. He does fly all over the field and never shies away from contact. He was also abused by a few stiff arms due to his size as well as being somewhat of a liability on the goal line. Overall a lot of the throws that were given up in his direction can continue to be corrected by better technique, there weren't all that many coverage situations where his size was the issue.

He seems like a good kid and a good football player (in a unique package).

This experience as a freshman is invaluable. Hopefully, you will get to reep the rewards. I wanted him bad, but our numbers were tight and you guys never waivered in your recruitment. Easy choice for him.

It was a bit of both. He definitely plays hard and runs all over the field, he got rocked a couple times with blindside blocks. He did get picked on a few times this year, but that's as much due to being the true freshman as it was him being undersized. His technique was hit and miss, but again he was a true freshman so that was expected. I think he'll be much more consistent next year, but overall I was really impressed with him. I love guys who play with supreme effort, and he does that every play. Bright future ahead for him.

He was around the ball a lot if I remember correctly. Let me check.

2 INT, I think he had a fumble recovery as well. He's just the first in a series of ball hawks that will be coming to Carolina.
