Seeing a lot of shite about Clemson not being "gracious winners" from us (mostly via my friends)
So let's spin it.... How would you act if we won?

I would be the biggest dick on the planet and rub it all in their faces.

Enough is enough, this is a Rivalry. You won't see Alabama and Auburn act that cordial.

X1000

The funny thing is, Clemson fans would make it all too easy to be an a-hole.

If we won a NC, they would still try to say they have a better program. They did this for five straight years when we were kicking their asses. You would hear the same rehashed talking points they always have:

"well..well we own the series"
"We have more conference titles"
"Y'all finally won one" etc.

Clemmy has earned all the shite talking they get from us.

All my life, I've seen clempson fans talking way more shite than I've ever seen us giving them. Screw 'em.

The thing is, that's when Clemson fans would be bitching about us not being gracious winners.

That's how a rivalry works.

gracious

that is one adjective that simply cannot be used in describing anything affiliated with that school since Jim Phillips died - and he was a Yank from Youngstown, Ohio. people who expect otherwise from their sect will always be let down.

exactly like Gamecocks did after cutting their asses in 2002 & 2010 sending them home from Omaha - laugh at them.

also - 'clemzoning' is not dead...it's taken a hiatus for Watson's 3 years, but make no mistake it will appear again - as soon as next season. its every bit a part of their DNA as is their rock.

That makes me feel a lot better. At least this young man has the ability to see perspective unlike the orange blind buffoons.

I don't see them any different than a lot of fans.

And the good thing about them is their bandwagon isn't that large.

It's not like Bama or Kentucky/Duke/UNC BBALL where their bandwagon stretches outside of their state to fans that have never stepped foot in that state.

it's hard to literally 'see' any of their *fans* when they're losing - and they do lose.

their bandwagon fans are the folks who make change outta the offering plate being passed around at church. over the past 12 months, there are people here in SC who haven't donned that school's colors since the 1980's. it's quite a phenomenon to watch.

"cheap & petty"

on the thought of "gracious winners" - Frank Martin was actually very gracious in his post game interview tonight about how erratic Carolina played in its win at Tennessee. he got his 200th career victory as a coach tonight
