The defensive performance wasn't terrible going into the 4th quarter. They also weren't capable of holding the lead because of a lack of talent. The lack of an offense at the end of the game didn't help either.

*Boomer trolling is any sad and transparent attempt by boomers to troll others.

I don't see much wrong with this.

Venables goes all over the country.
Go check out his 247 profile and he's recruiting guys from CT, OK, NV, VA, MO and TX.

As you've seen from our Roster (I have no clue about WBB so can't speak for that) most of our players out of the state. So Frank and Co are traveling outside of SC. Football as of recent we've stayed in SC or neighboring states.

I wonder how they account for the use of the university plane when it comes to expenses? Or for the King Air that was donated by a large donor from down at the coast? Muschamp uses it to fly all over the SE to visit prospects in small towns with nothing more than an air strip.

I'll disagree here.

These are contradictory statements.

If the team didn't have the talent to stop UF, why did they do so in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd? 36% of Florida's yards last weekend came in the 4th quarter. To me, that shouts our guys got fatigued and it cost us. Once again, we lost to time of possession battle. They say it's the most useless statistic in football, but for us, I think it means something. (Edit: I looked it up. We are 127 out of 129 FBS teams for TOP.)

Unlike most everyone here, I'm still processing how I feel about this game. We weren't supposed to win going in, but we were up big, and then collapsed. It sucks, but for 3 quarters we played better that I thought we would.

The second statement is tied to the next one about our offensive performance. Our defense didn't completely screw us over, but the disappearance of our offense combined with fatigue allowed UF to come back.

You presented zero facts. You just repeated gullible like it has some basis in reality.

I think that matters with talent too though.
The BEST players play 1-4.
The BEST players know how to play with a lead.
The BEST players know how to finish games.

I don't think this is a youth thing either, because when the best players come in that make significant impacts, they play the entire game. (now I understand they take snaps off here and there) but look at a guy like Jonah Williams on Bama, a predicted first round pick, he was 2nd team all SEC and starter as a freshman, guy played some ridiculous amount of snaps.

We need the talent but that takes time, not 3 fricking years t the University of South Carolina thats for sure.

People just assumed, oh hey look at all these Florida guys in the NFL, lets get them too. Boom took over a Florida program that churns out NFL prospects before that and had many national titles. I don't give a frick about the "dumpster fire" urban left because it really wasn't especially when they were only 3 years removed from a title.

Kids don't care about a team having bad kids on the team (Hernandez, Jenkins, probably more) they care about seeing a program that sends talent to the NFL, which Florida did do and still does.

UF wasn't even a “dumpster fire" when Muschamp was hired. It was corrupt as frick, and Muschamp actually did a good job of cleaning it up. It didn't do too much for the program itself, but better than nothing.

I know I'm just using what people had said about it.
It's UF, they'll always have talent, it's just a matter if a coach is able to use that talent to win (as seen from the many NFL draft picks they have)

Although maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't completely stop being a fan/donating going to events/games etc because of bad years.

I went to the University of South Carolina, sure I was lucky enough to have good teams when I was there unlike some of you, but as a child I remember pretty bad ones.

Football was a MAJOR part of my 4 years there, win or lose it was still an amazing part of my time and brought me together with family and friends to share one common goal, pulling for the gamecocks.

I haven't always agreed with decisions (as I've said not a fan of the Muschamp hire), didn't like Elliott at all (thank god we didn't hire that guy), the move to UnderArmour, Hiring Ray Tanner after Hyman left etc etc but I'm not just going to drop them.

I guess it's tougher though because I kinda can't. They're my school, can't just pick up another one because for college sports I feel like that's the unique bond you have.

Call me "drinking the kool aid" but I'm still going to watch the hell out of the Clemson game even though I do believe we have a very very very small chance of winning.

So did I.

And I will do it again.

Even more now than I did before. I did then because i was a little kid and probably thought Santa was real. But I LOVE my school. Sure I’ll make jokes about it etc but it’s one thing I will always hold close to my heart.

I walked across that stage and shook Harris Pastides hand and collected that diploma.
It means a lot to me and my family. And i will forever remember two moments in my life , that and the first game I was a student. USC was the best four years of my life and I made the best friends ever whether it be just friends on my freshman dorm or fraternity brothers. I love this school with every bone in my body

No one cares about cockytalk, and that Ohio joke is weak shite, boomer. It's New Yorkers and New Jerseyians with an unfortunate mix of Connecticuters. Try to keep up, boomer, life comes at you fast.
