I am not sure if you are really scholarship donor or not but that is really a crappy thing to say. I think Tanner has done a good job and Muschamp made the mistake of winning games we should not have won in the first two seasons. That just amps up expectations from people like you. We are a 7 win team plain and simple. We played above the talent level and had a lot of breaks go our way. If you are winning on "breaks going your way" then that crap will come to an end. We are 3 years away from being really competitive at the rate we are recruiting. That is about what I expected regardless of who Tanner hired to replace Spurrier. We are what we are...so stop pretending we are what we're not !

Reasonable post but won't sit well with the naysayers.

At UF Muschamp basically relied on this to get him a 12 win season. Some people call it winning ugly, but that's being generous. It's also part of the reason he had a 3-8 season the following year. Injuries didn't help, but they weren't going to repeat the previous year's success.

Injuries were the reason he had a poor season. It's amazing how many fans allowed the media to blow reasonable expectations out the window. Amazing in how gullible and uninformed some of our posters are.

If you think you're demeaning someone by telling them to go to Cockytalk then that just shows that you are one of the gullible posters.

Hey IBG and CG, did you ever think you would see the day when I became the voice of reason?

You are using the injuries as a crutch to cover the fact that his general strategy wasn't working in 2013. Outside of Toledo they beat two terrible teams in Arkansas and Kentucky, and a 5-7 Tenn team. That's it. Their losses are first and foremost on Muschamp's fall forward strategy. Also, stop trying to boomer troll. It's just sad.

I will say that I HATE the injury excuse. So I'm with ya there. Realistically we should have guys good enough to come in, especailly if we wanna call ourselves an SEC team.

That said we are South Carolina not Clemson, Bama, Georgia etc.

We need a bit more time to build a team especially with a depleted state.

Here is one issue I do have with our football program and recruiting and that is why are there men's and women' asst.basketball coaches with higher travel expenses than any of our football coaches?
Venables at clempson reported over $174,000 for this year travel expenses and our highest football coach was Thompson at $38,000. WTF?!

I would like Rooster to give some insight on what he has heard in reference to football recruit spending .

How the hell is mbb #1 and wbb#2 in travel expenses with football at 3rd. Clempson is outspending us hands over fist and look at the results. Any businessman will tell you that you have to spend money to make money. Wtf is all the sec money we get going?

Maybe he's on the Hugh Freeze plan for travel reimbursements.
