We will not beat Clemson in the next decade. They are on another level than we are. I can't stand anything about them but their administration and big boosters care more about winning than we do. Always have, always will. We had that 5-year run with our foot on their throats and what do we have to show for it? Another arse cutting by our rival.

The completely inept offense last night was painful to watch. Why is Roper's play calling so repetitive? Does Bentley still not know the whole playbook or does Roper not have the confidence in our offense to open it up? Our offense stalls because the whole damn stadium knows what play is coming. Oh, it's 3rd and 5? Better throw a short hitch route for the fifth time, which the defense bites on immediately.

And what is Bentley seeing on all of his boneheaded throws? Or is he just that inaccurate? It's like he thinks this is practice and just goes through the motions.

So who should be the OC to turn this offense around?

We moved the ball on them much better in 2015 with G.A. Mangus calling plays than we have in the two years with Roper.

I don't think Proper is the problem, but he isn't helping. Folks, Bentley just isn't good. He doesn't have the chest to be a big time SEC QB. There is talent at all of the skill positions, but Bentley cannot distribute the ball competently.

That game was winnable, but I don't think Bentley could put together the game needed.

Roper may be the guy to fall on the sword, but Bentley isn't the guy.

Dude

That's a little much.

What does being an old long time generous booster of our program have to do with any of this?

We older boosters who contribute a ton of money?

I disagree.

If we didn't care we wouldn't be basically financing all of the improvements, paying-for the great majority of scholarships, contributing at the levels at which we do.

We've helped to bring the overall program a long ways in our lifetimes in terms of financial support over the decades.

We've fought a lot of battles with the bureacrauts and academics in the process. We've put-up with a lot of bullshite from politicians, from school presidents, from anti-athletic influences over the decades.

We've also helped put our University in an advantageous position, financially, over the last couple of decades.

Our booster network is strong and dedicated. The problem lies in the political process at times. Many things, many forces, have fought against us over the years.

FWIW the talk and tweets about Roper being fired are viral. I did a Kurt Roper search on Twitter and there are hundreds of tweets and claims he's been fired.

I've called everyone I know for confirmation and everyone are saying the same thing ... no official word but no denials either.

I have some serious doubts.

IMHO last jight was more about Bentley making the one big big mistake and more about how good Clemson's defense appeared to be.

Gotta continue to question some of the play calling though.

Muschamp has repeatedly defended the punt coverage as not being in pooch coverage and JC simply out kicking the coverage. Kid had a helluva night averaging over 50 yards a punt on seven punts.

I would be disappointed with Mangus, but he did get better results than Roper. I'm interested in seeing if Canada gets a call. Not as concerned if he becomes our OC as I am that the AD or somebody at least takes the chance.

So what do they donate their money for?

There’s no way people that donate money don’t wanna see em win.

I will be interested to see what DJ brings to the table at QB, especially since he is early enrollee and has all the visible tangibles. Ive watched him a few times down here at Fort, and he has impressed at this level so would like to see how it translates on the collegiate level.

We should poach Jeff Scott from the Taters.

Rhett Lashlee who was Auburn's OC from 2013-16 is now at Uconn.

No idea why he's there (probably got offered a ton to move) but I would certainly take a look at him.

Not sure Jake is the QB to fit his type of scheme though. Would probably be much better with Dak
