PUMPED

This will accelerate as our game approaches. The reality is that we will be one of the better teams that they will play this year. Better than Syracuse, and like Syracuse, we are a road game.

The nightmare scenario is Clemson beating Miami in the ACC championship game, but no ACC team making the playoffs due to Clemson losing their rivalry game. That would also assure the SEC East of at least a .500 record against the ACC in the regular season, even if UGA, UK and UF all lose their games. So that whole "SEC Least" thing goes away too - kinda hard to laugh at how bad the teams are, if your league can't have a winning record against them.

If the game is at 7pm like I saw it was projected, then I expect it to be a super rowdy atmosphere. Definitely my favorite week and game of the year.

Incredibly intoxicated* Students right after thanksgiving break are the best students.

Always used to be my favorite game. Come back from being home, really itching for booze since you really can't do the old college partying at home. And the atmosphere is LIT.

Even though it has nothing to do with what you were talking about, this has to be deleted for posterity sake.

Is anyone else so f'n pissed they are number 2??!?!?!

Miami goes undefeated and smashes a top 4 playoff team by over 30, and the #2 spot goes to a team that lost to ****ing Syracuse and has no such dominant impressive win like that.

What a ****ing joke. i understand they're giving Clemson credit for being in the national championship game the past 2 years, but don't you think that's a LITTLE UNFAIR?

Oh well, all the better for when we **** their entire world up on November 25.

hell, I was honestly surprised this joker committee didn't jump them over Alabama after the tide's fight in Starkville.

Hocutt - Tex Tech AD (OU/KSU degrees)/Big12
Beamer - Virgina Tech/ACC
Bower - Southern Miss/Bobby J's buddy
Deromedi - C Michigan/Big10
Howard - AFA/Military vet/Rhodes Scholar/OU ties/Big12
Jernstadt - Duck/Pac12
Bobby J - I think we know
Long - Ark AD/buffoon/SEC
Mullens - Duck AD/Pac12
D-Rad - how is this man in sports admin - seriously?
Smith - Ohio State/Big10
Wieberg - 30+ yr national journalist/Missouri
Willingham - Michigan State/Big10

if they're gonna be put in the T4, hell, let them come in to W-B with the biggest target on their back.

it was hilarious listening to Hocutt blow hard about Pickens' road record trying to justify them over Oklahoma - and he never even glossed over their awful loss to Syracuse

and if any taters want to keep beating the 'but muh QB was hurt half the game' drum - ask them how many pass break ups or tackles their QB has on the season - because it was their defense with busted coverage/bad tackling that got their arse beat in Western NY, not their QB who missed the 2H.

This is actually my only question here

What's is taken into more account?

Wins or Losses?

Do you look more at good wins? or Bad losses?

It seems to literally change every year.

indeed.

it appears the committee applies different criteria available to them to rank each individual team 7-25 as well.

there are three 3-loss teams in this week's cfp rankings that Carolina would beat - Northwestern, Michigan St (yes, we would) and LSU. none of those teams have been great on offense this season.

Gamecocks have already beat now 3-loss NCSU. the wolfpack shouldn't be ranked, but the committee is leaving them in to prop up one of the teams in the T4 (as VT is now out).

BCS math was a better selection apparatus and should have been used to simply place the top 4 teams into a 'playoff'. a human committee does nothing but introduce collusion & bias to an event already based on millions of dollars.

D-Rad & Bobby J...can't make this shite up!

This here is exactly what should have happened. Kept the same model, just take the top 4 instead of 2.
