what's the vibe on the blood feud this weekend? looking at Jacklegg & Jr's schedule so far - they've played 3 "name" teams in OK State Arizona and Old Mississippis - OSU and Arizona are a combined 9-7 and OM run-ruled Clemps 15-5 in 7 .
they gave up 7 runs in 4 innings vs Winthrop in their tune-up before the war with Carolina - and won 20-7 in 7 -
they've also beat 2-6 VCU and 2-4 NCA&T -
think I heard PM on radio this week mention Becker starting Friday at the Cow Palace and Eskew moved to Sunday to have more time to heal his strain - Becker has a chance to really put it all together in his last year - hopefully it shows this weekend -
Wolta has been a nice addition to our lineup - hopefully there's some protection for Petry - our SR catcher and his bat are a concern - Hall meanwhile has been outstanding outta the gate -
Mainieri & Rooney have done a commendable job so far getting a couple arms slotted into some roles - Sweeney & Garino at the back end -
this team has shown it can handle business in moments to win or put games out of reach - while the continuity all through the lineup has had some quiet moments - base running and fielding seem improved - as well as less swing n miss -and watching 3rd strikes go by -

On paper Clempson has more talent. Their pitching has been shaky but their bats ate better than ours. If we have solid pitching and Ray Tanner defense we could win. I don't want to get in a shootout against the tators.

Losing the first two to Clemson sucks. We have to hit better. Pitching has honestly been fantastic.
but on a side note I can't wait until Will Tippett graduates...I cant stand him. Also at this point I don't care how much the players love Monte, or how many circles he is connected to. We flat out suck at hitting, and have as long as he has been here. Please can we fire him

didn't get to watch - but listened to most of the weekend series v clemp - embarrassing result - more of the same of late -
Carolina's now only won 7 of the 16 series since it was moved to a full weekend - 1 of the last 4 -

I will say props to the pitching staff. Aside from closing, we pitched pretty damn well.

At least we're winning the games we should be I guess.. doesn't bode well how it seems any team with teeth may be problematic, and that is the entire conference schedule.

last night's lineup with Stone LF Carrion 2B & Hollins 1B hopefully sticks for awhile - Catcher will be more of who's not hurt at this point - Stone brings more energy/intensity -

We had a good lineup this weekend. No tippet and Stone back in the lineup (praise). Stone's defense is good, which is why I wish he was in CF over hall but I get it...Hall is good too.
Catcher worries me because we have several...but can any of them gun down runners or keep a ball in front
