yeah, I dont plan to post in here anymore. 4th worst loss in school history. Paris can't be fired quick enough. The new thread should be "Replacements for Paris"

The Men lose to LSU. We are now, objectively, the worst team in the SEC...

I mean, at this point I don't expect him to be fired during the season. I understanding just letting the shite show run its course until March. However, he does need to be immediately let go as soon as we get bounced out of the first round of the SECT.

Word is our AD started the search for new coach already

My ESPN notification on my phone
"It sounds like SC could increase NIL funds in hopes that Paris can turn it around"
which sounds like he isn't going anywhere. I am apathetic at this point. Part of me does wonder what he would look like with a good roster...he does seem to "coach" but like damn we have sucked

He was given a larger Nil for this year and didn't spend it all because he can't recruit.
I'm still being told he is gone but if they keep him give him no nil money and give it all to football

ESPN has a current article/guide up regarding the 2026 coaching carousel..
South Carolina is listed under the "Probably at least a year away" category, as opposed to "Jobs that could open."
After struggling in Year 1 in Columbia, Lamont Paris guided the Gamecocks to a 26-win season in 2023-24, earning a 6-seed in the NCAA tournament and winning SEC Coach of the Year. But the Gamecocks haven't come close to sustaining that momentum, entering the week with a 24-35 (5-27 SEC) record over the past two seasons. But it sounds as if the school plans to increase Paris' NIL budget, in the hope that he will turn things around next season. Paris signed a six-year, $26 million extension through 2029-30, and there's just over $12 million remaining.

I saw this and immediately went "NO BRO, BE GONE"
I can't imagine the new AD who's name I can't spell isn't ready to make his own hires
but that'd be classic Gamecocks. I don't expect the moon, but no excuse to be this bad.

It is looking more and more likely Paris isn't going anywhere for another year.

He was gone until a few weeks ago. His personality won out over his win totals. Supposedly already hitting players to come here but who knows. This is solid proof that our school doesn't care about winning.

Lolll, what did we even get a new AD for?

Why is Tanner still a employee making a million a year?
Next years team will be almost all new faces. Look for Eli Ellis to head to Louisville

Looking forward to seeing all you Paris haters eat crow tonight when he leads our team to a long streak of victories ending in a tournament bid for being SEC tournament champions...
Update: color me shocked that we lost our 1st round game by double digits

After leading by double digits ourselves. That makes it even less surprising, honestly.

Eli in the portal. Saw that coming from miles away.
I think there are currently 4 players already in the portal and counting the guys that are seniors we have half the team gone...need the other half to follow
