With Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss State and Tennessee still on the schedule, getting every win we can midweek becomes even more important.

I haven't been ducking this one. I've been underwater at work, so very little time to post. As I said last week, I'll take my lumps on it.

We are done playing the bulldogs this season. You can return to your position as a Gamecock fan.

Our baseball team has decided to suck the last few weeks.

Playing our way out of the NCAAT. I know we've played 3 outstanding teams over the last 3 weekends, but SC has sure played some poor baseball.

Nah, they're definitely a tourney team. But they won't host anything.

Bout to get swept for the 2nd straight weekend. Tennessee will wreck us next week as well.

Landon Powell, John Coutlangus & Trey Dyson have their baseball team at 33-11 again this season. they hit and score a lot. they win a lot, too.

after that myriad of shitshow coaching decisions by Kingston B9 vs MSU - there is no reason to believe the staff at NGU is sub-par to what we're enduring in Columbia.

I will bet you $5k that Tennessee doesn't wreck us next weekend. I'm 100% sure because we play Kentucky next weekend.

Kingston im good with but we need a batting coach that has the balls to tell Kingston to worry about managing and teach the guys to contact the ball and just try to drive it and don't worry about launch angle. Way too many times have our guys drop the back shoulder...meade his staffs have issued way too many walks since he's been here, he's a great evaluator but a trash coach

Kingston is bringing in the talent just look at what we have coming in. I stated at the beginning of the year that we had some HR hitters but I was worried about manufacturing runs when we run into elite pitchers. I've been told that Meade refuses to call strike pitches when we are ahead. This team is way better than the last couple of years. I expect them to make noise in the NCAA tournament as the regional should be easier than our regular season schedule and the supers would be just another SEC weekend.

This can't be true, but absolutely terrible if it is. Bad enough to even make that a part of the gameplan, and even worse that it's been approved by the HC since he's been here.

I should state it's when we get ahead in the count. After I was told I started paying attention and sure enough you start seeing more sliders and fast balls off the plate. I understand not wanting to give anything to hit but you've just taken the pitcher out if their groove and couple pitches later it's a full count than a walk

that's even worse if you're saying there's no consideration of the score on those calls to throw out of the zone.

*reserved for a Sunday night post* - don't wanna jinx a damn thing after last night.

--------------------------------------

Monday edit - congrats to these two SEC POTW Gamecocks

and also this Gamecock for his two home runs and a triple in UK's new ballpark

Ray Tanner once swore KY burried something under that awful billboard in RCF at Cliff Hagan stadium to curse the Gamecocks because USC would always hit the damn sign for doubles - while KY would hit HRs between it and the RF foul pole.

whatever it was - USC is 3-0 in UK's new digs. first sweep in Lex since 2002 and first series win there since 2009.

Boy when I saw your post I was like " dang he jinxed us" lol

Swept Kentucky at their place. Huge huge win as it puts us right into the " Hosting" talk. Our RPI is ranked #10.
32 runs in a SEC weekend series can't complain about offense.

This is a team that come NCAA tournament time no one is going to want to deal with
