So we lose to div 2 augusta university tonight. We can't get any elite players from our on backyard. I like Frank but wonder if he has taken the program as far as he can.

How in God's name do we lose to a Division II team? Our bench guys and walk-ons should beat them. This is fricking embarrassing, even if it is an exhibition.

Another poster on another board ,who happens to be a big Frank supporter, posted that this just shows how many good players there are in college. No this shows how his recruiting misses and taking projects have this program as the worst in the sec.

Silva got his 4th foul with just over 10 to play - got taken out - and Frank never put him back in

cliffs - Gamecocks led by 10 with 11 to play. USC then went 1/8 FGA with 3 TO's over the next 5 minutes of play and the lead was cut to 1.

Gravett was carrying the offense the rest of the way. Kotsar missed a 1&1 with 0:52 to play and Carolina up 1.

AUG made a jumper with 0:37 to lead by 1. Lawson missed a layup with 0:24 and then it became a FT contest with AUG making all 4 of the FTA.

rebounding in the final 10 minutes was bad - even gave up a rebound/putback on a missed FT late 2H.

We got outscored and out rebounded by a div 2 team and not a top div 2 team at that.

That's never a good thing.

very true. I should probably be pissed - but this game doesn't count and won't show up on the season record.

I just can't stop laughing at what the look on Frank's face must have been when Silva got his 4th foul. I doubt Frank made eye contact with Chris the rest of the night - let alone spoke to him.

but yeah - it's an abysmal result and should never happen - even in exhibition.

Takes time for these projects to develop, man. Like four years. Gotta be patient!

I was there. Pathetic showing. I know it's an exhibition but our guys looked slow, unmotivated and just not fun to watch.
No excuse for playing like this against a D2 school ever.

Patient my arse. Frank has taken the program as far as he can. We missed on every single elite recruit from our own state and end up with projects and transfers. He has failed to capitalize on the lightening in the bottle final four just like the football program failed to do with the 11 win seasons. You know what the meaning of insanity is right?

Yeah I'm tempted to laugh at you guys, but the game doesn't count. I would chalk it up as a barometer for how much this team needs to improve going forward. Knowing Frank from the old Big 12 days, and taking you guys to the final four, I wouldn't give up on him yet. The dude has an incredible way of improving his teams as the season progresses.

That’s cool this is basketball anyway.

Let’s all just pull for UNC or Duke like we normally do

Yep. Very unfortunate in both instances. Both cases the coaches seemed to have fallen into the trap of thinking they were good enough to win coaching up average players.

What Gamecocks do you hang around? I hate the NC schools with a passion and any Gamecock die-hard over the age of 50 would want to fight you for saying that.
