As far as Wideman, I really think that if he was going to flip, he would've done so by now. Why drag it out so long and do that to fsu? It's just my opinion, but if a guy from SC who knew he was going out of state to play wanted to keep the locals happy still and keep their negative comments to him at bay, he could say that the local school was still in it the whole time to at least buy a few months of peace. I hope I'm completely wrong though and he comes to USC.

I just find his 247 timeline as a huge indicator. He committed to FSU on the 22nd of July after visiting unofficially on the 17th. Since then he has been to USC for our Camp, five unofficial and one official visit and to FSU 0 times. I realize proximity probably plays a major roll in that, but still. Also he was really chummy with our commits at the Shrine bowl.

As for waiting to flip? No clue. He could just want to not burn bridges (which could work both ways). I think in the end he does switch, though.

frick OFF!!!!

sorry, j/k, that was just my first reaction that popped into my head when I saw you wrote that Poona might want to come to SC now.. haha

OK, I read some of the updates, Is this shite worth it? We're at the point where every guy we bring in means 1 more guy we have to process this spring. Is Poona worth any of the current guy's spots? WIth this on/off shite, I'm not feeling like he is. Just my 2 cents.

I mean, is it Poona just being really indecisive or is he that influenced by a HS coach/others? Either way, I don't know if he's worth the spot of some other guy who was sure he wanted to be here.

We dropped some DBs off our board. The feeling is that means either Lammons or Green is a silent.

I just don't see it ... I'm shocked that the coaches have changed their minds and are considering it and I'll be even more shocked if Ford ends-up at SCAR. I think we're just going through the motions with this kid to stay on good ground with some other high school coaches who have claimed we look out-of-state too often.

We gave Ford plenty of chances early and there have been too many negative comments from his camp since IMHO.

I think both might be, hopefully that's right, we need high-quality CB's for this upcoming season and I would expect at least 2-3 of these FR CB's to be in the 2 Deep.

Who did we drop, Tindal from FL?

Poona Ford told Go Gamecocks that he might commit to USC this weekend on his OV and that his final 3 are USC, Texas, and Mizzou

Something is going-on. Somebody is not going to qualify and someone has made some mea culpa with our staff.

Now, if after he said that, if he ends-up at Texas we'll know we've been played.

I think that's pretty much it... DT Arthur Williams is supposedly visiting us on the 31st, and DE Darrius Caldwell has a conditional offer dependent on his grades, and perhaps on someone else choosing us or not, but I think that's it....

I hope we can land 4 of those 6 at least. Like everyone stated, Ford is the one confusing to me. From everything posted on here and articles that I have read, we werent really on his radar. Now all of a sudden, he thinks he may be a Gamecock. I think we may be getting played, but I could be wrong. How good is he? Has anyone seen him play in person?

He is an undersized DT for the SEC, but he plays like a bull and is really fast. He had a solid Sr year, and for the past 2 years he's racked up a lot of TFL's. He's fast for a guy weighing in at 280lbs, He probably runs around a 4.8 40. It's pretty funny to watch him line up at FB and then watch people in HS try to tackle him. He's very explosive and has good power. With our depth at DT, he wouldn't see the field next year, but the following year he could break into the 2 Deep.

I've never thought that he couldn't play, that's not the issue, I've always wondered if he was just playing us though. Either his HS HC was a jackass and trying everything in his power to keep Poona away from USC, or Poona himself was playing games with USC's recruiters.

I don't know any of them personally and I don't know if we'll ever really find out what's up, but this was just a weird situation for process that should be much more simple than this is.
