I don’t see this holding much water considering that Martin just signed an extension with us less than a year ago.
If he does interview for the job then we should probably be worried. As of right now there isn’t much of a chance that happening IMO.

Just putting it out there so some don't scream if he does interview that this came from nowhere...

Uconn is going to hire Danny Hurley.
All but pretty much signed and has been in the works for a few weeks now.

Unpinning the thread now.
No need to fret ladies and gents. Conveniently for y'all your baseball hat can double as a softball hat.

Gueye and Doumbia are transferring out of the program, as was often talked about as a possibility.
I felt Gueye was a good chance of happening - he was contributing on the levels of the walk-ons on the team not named Hinson, despite being a 2nd-year scholarship player in the program - but thought that Doumbia being a true freshman might've gotten some more time to see if he developed any more than he had.
So apparently now Coach Martin and staff have 3 open scholarships to work with for next season, depending on what happens with Holden, who Martin didn't entirely close the door on returning to the team. This also includes Felder returning, Bowen being eligible to play, and combo guard Jermaine Couisnard, the lone incoming signee for 2018 thus far.
Those 3 would be added to known returning scholarship players Silva, Kotsar, Gravett, Haase, Minaya, Beatty, and Cudd. The team can have 13 scholarship players (Hinson is a walk-on on a FB scholly). So hopefully CFM gets replacements for the program that have some legit D-1 college basketball potential....

Martin has told a friend of mine, face to face, who is close with him ... that he's not going anywhere. He intends to stay right here and he fully has a plan to win a national championship.
I believe him. I like Frank a lot. He's a helluva coach IMHO. He's going to sign a great class, I think great, two classes feom now. He's been building relationships that are going to pay-off.

So I know a little about this.
Cuevas-Moore has been out of her element here. I like her a lot. She's overcome a lot of adversity in her life. But she's a bit of a prima donna too and Dawn is very very demanding on her point guards ... you have to have really thick skin to play PG for her.
Bianca saw the writing on the wall given our current roster plus who we have joining the team with this next class.
This is a good move for everyone involved.
Best of luck to Bianca. She's got her degree coming soon plus she'll get a new fresh look with another program and she'll be closer to home.
It also opens-up another scholly for us and Dawn is looking to fill that with another big girl transfer.
