What's the solution to small D-fronts stunting and crashing the LOS?

It seems like over the years we've had issues with this. I'm not an O-Line expert, so I don't know the counter move, but I know that the first 2 weeks this year we dealt with a lot of it and we've dealt with it poorly some in the past as well.

Don't know if it will stop that, but stop have the slow arse guards pull.

We just need to fatten up our OL more. Thats all.

Generally speaking, they do this to stop the run via disruption of our "hat on a specific hat" blocking desires, and so usually the solution is to pass the football, since that's "what they're giving you". Another solution is to get the ball on the edge. Some would say that this is what zone-blocking is made for. There are many things to do.
Having said all this, many posters are getting way bent out of shape over this and other similar issues. Step back from the ledge. Bama has used 2 teams for practice. Nothing more.

Zone blocking system but the line has to play as a well timed cohesive unit. That requires playing together and knowing/trusting the guy next to you(experience as a complete unit). We are not there yet.
It also means pulling is not an option against smaller quick guys. All the smaller quick guys have to do is hop in the back pocket of the pulling lineman and follow him to the ball.
Block the guy closest to you with feel and watch the second level for stunts.

I'm convinced the staff are calling pulls anyway to get game reps. It makes no sense for as qualified as staff as ours to do this otherwise.

Agree - and as noted above by prevatt, there are alternatives that would basically work 90% of the time against teams that generally do this (NMSU, Duke, etc).
We could throw wide screens, slants, bubbles, etc and score on every other play, to be honest.

We could also get foot to foot, double tight, and drive block any mother fricker that gets in our way. Do that until their tongues are hangin out or they've walked the 7th man up in the box and #8 is cheating up. Then take the top off. But for God sakes, stop pulling!

Better players?
We've had OLs in the past that none of these guys would have seen the field with.

I would love to see Bama drop some size on the OL.
I’d take a line full of 6’2” 290 Lb guys who can pull, get to the 2nd level, and have enough quicks to stop speed rushers over the line full of behemoths Bama has now.

One of the funniest things about September is when fans clamor for Saban to make changes that might mildly help on 8 plays versus Northeastern South-West Tech, but would put us at a distinct disadvantage against playoff teams. Happens every year. It is to September what White Helmets are to August.

The best overreactions are the ones that blatantly false.
