Said he's already watched as much tape on the players as humanly possible since he was contacted about the job

And Kyree Walker is indeed Muss first offer at Arkansas.

Just FYI from the Rivals board:

Per the Rivals board, from the dude that has been spot on the entire time, Marshall is basically a huge dick, was "offended" by the largely incentive based contract and his wife was a mess.

Huge respect for HY building a contrac that basically says, win and we will pay the shite out of you. Otherwise, why would I pay you this much money up front?

Apparently everyone was turned off by him and his overall attitude. He hasn't done a whole lot in 4 seasons to act like a BSD.

I seem to recall him turning a lot of teams off after the final four runs as well.

We did fine with the hire.

It is pretty well known in the coaching world that marshall is a huge a-hole and difficult to work with

It's a pretty big red flag to me he didn't get another big job after that run 3 years ago.

Don't care how much WSU is paying him, you don't stay there just for money an to be comfortable. That's a weak arse job.

I was not on the Anderson pain train. I wanted him here. BUT I think Musselman is an upgrade and I'm cautiously optimistic.

Once he lost Chris Jans + Steve Forbes, Wichita took a dive in quality

After his first call on Monday, he apparently went to his wife, told her and goes "I'm going on a 5 mile run", came back and sat in his office at home for 2 days watching tape.

Came back to the next conversation with all kind of answers for the team and his vision.

The polar opposite of what Mike had offered up for HY when they had a season end review.

Only thing I’ve heard is Anthony Ruta coming from Nevada, not for sure if an assitant role or operations. And rumors of Scotty Thurman being kept on in some capacity as well

The word out of the Stephens inc building in LR is that Warren Stephens really likes Beard and developed a great relationship with him while at UALR. 5 million plus a year will be offer.

So, would you rather have Beard, Marshall, or Dixon?

Not throwing shade at anyone, but a fun trip down memory lane. Not everyone was sold on muss and a lot fans turned on Yuracheck for even making the hire who felt like the 5th choice at the time(beard, marshall, Dixon, Donovan and Sampson were all names thrown out)

Important to trust the process sometimes as muss was a home run hire for us despite it ending sour.
