all top 25 programs have one thing in common they have put together 3 recruiting classes that rank in the top 30. at Missouri drink inherited a program that it's recruiting national average is 47. out of the 80 players in the program he inherited there were 7 4 star players. now in 2021, his class ranks 28th with 6 4 stars players, in 2022 he has 6 4 stars and 1 5 stars and he still has room for 8 more. if his 2023 class can be top 30 he will have enough 4 and 5-star players to compete. you have zero chance to in sec. with the majority of your players 3-star players. so really the thing that matters is recruiting on-field coaching is minor.

Coaches can still over-achieve and under-achieve with the talent they have. It's also important to pitch recruits on things other than football because 99% of student athletes go pro in something other than sports. You don't need all 4 and 5 star athletes to have winning seasons. If you can get 70 3-stars, and good coaching, and let the cream rise to the top, you can maintain success. Championships no, but a solid program and sell tickets and sell merchandise and get ranked and get more prime time TV spots and more boosters and higher donations.... absolutely.

Excuse me....would you mind ceasing from imbecilic run-on sentences and lack of proper punctuations where needed so that we English-speaking humans can -- at least -- decipher your brain-on-speed-speech into something intelligible?

I think there’s some truth to that, but I agree with the deeprig also. There are 3 star players that, with development and coaching, can play a long time in the NFL. There’s a way to build a program on primarily 3 stars and compete at a high level. Just look at what Stoops has done at UK. It all starts with intensity and aggression on D.

It's football you are not supposed to speak with proper grammar. You hear football coaches talk they don't talk with proper grammar. I coached high school varsity football for 26 years English is my second language.

For UGA-

Jordan Davis was a 3 star.
Stetson Bennet was a 2 star walk-on.
Ladd "Moonshine" McConkey was a 3 star.

There's an old Donald Rumsfeld quote after an aggressive leftist reporter asked him a question about why the military didn't have enough body armor in the Iraq War- "You don't go to war with the army you want, you go to war with the army you've got."

I work primarily with bi-lingual people and I admire people that can speak two languages. It's more than I can speak. It means you are smart, even if your second language isn't perfect. Can I assume you are a Missouri fan?
