I'm awful at filling out brackets bc I'm pretty risk averse and am terrible at identifying upset picks. I almost lucked out 2 years ago in the big pool I'm in and if MSU had jsut won 2 more games I'd have won the whole thing, I mainly attribute that showing to luck though.

The biggest upset situation I have is St. Bonaventure beating LSU and michigan which I'm not really comfortable with and only doing because I feel like I need to pick some upsets. I know nothing about them but LSU is wishy washy, and I know michigan's best player is out so I don't see them going super far. The pool I"m in is an upset bracket which also makes me tend to want to pick more upsets than I may otherwise want. Still though, my elite 8 is all 1-4 seeds which I'm sure won't happen in reality.

UNC over Baylor in the second round. Baylor hasn't been the same since they were forced out of action for 3 weeks due to ridiculous protocols. UNC, meanwhile, has quietly gotten pretty hot lately. I could see them making a nice run as an 8 seed.

Also, be very careful with Loyola/Illinois in the second round. Loyola is probably the most underseeded team in the entire bracket. Illinois is a great team though and they are scalding hot right now. They're in a brutal region though. Illinois could have to play Loyola, Oklahoma State, and West Virginia to get to the Final Four.

If they get through that gauntlet, they'll win the whole thing.

I’m taking UCSB in the first round.

Why? Idk, just felt like it.

Agree with this. Villanova's backcourt is ravaged with injuries.

VCU over Oregon is a strong possibility. Ohio vs Virginia will be a pretty decent game. Utah St. could absolutely beat Texas Tech. VT probably will beat UF. I also wouldn’t be shocked if Oregon State beat Tennessee either. Am I crazy to think Arkansas and Bama have chances to make a run? Especially Bama... Texas a final 4 team???? IDK man... gonna be fun watching this shite unwrap.

No one is playing better than Illinois coming in. Their last six games, all wins, none at home:

@Wisconsin
@Michigan
@Ohio St
Rutgers
Iowa
Ohio St

That is awfully damn impressive. Michigan is a 1 seed while OSU and Iowa are 2 seeds.

It was the first time I have watched them, but if Tech plays defense like they did against FSU they will be a problem for anyone.

side note: the conversations between Pastner and Collins have to be out of this world with cliches and fake juice. That Pastner dude is something else...they played his voicemail recording on the telecast and the man is a literal psychopath

They've played defense like that for the past couple of years. I think Loyola also plays tough defense so this game could be in the 30s lol.

Yeah...Collins and Pastner both live in their own world. I think Collins is fake and doing what he thinks needs to be done to recruit folks to Tech....I think Pastner is 100% genuine in his level of insanity.

The whole Big 10 is great... the best in possibly the history of CBB. Michigan is the only 1 seed that I think could lose to anyone. They just don’t seem to be clicking like they did 3/4 of the season. Baylor is kinda like Alabama but with better shooters. We shall see.

Michigan is going to struggle without Isaiah Livers, and Baylor hasn't been the same since their covid break. I believe both of them will be bounced by the time the Sweet 16 is over.
