Just watched him play on tv against my high school. Kid is an absolute stud. Was unstoppable tonight in a GA 7A playoff game. 24-17 win for Parkview (his HS). Didn’t get the final stat line but he was over 30 carries for 270+ yards and 3 TDs. Everyone knew he was getting it and he couldn’t be stopped. Arm tackles won’t cut it, hell of a second effort to put them in favorable situations, good decision making, didn’t dance around when a play was dead, just took what the defense would give him when he wasn’t taking what he wanted.

Mind you this wasn’t against subpar competition. Both teams featured multiple D1 commits and kids with D1 offers, with several going to the SEC. Y’all gettin a good one.

I look at Cody Brown in much the same way I looked at Tank last year. Both very good backs.

Cody Brown (247 profile)
quote:

EVALUATED 03/20/2020

Filled out frame and is very developed physically. Already has considerable muscle mass despite entering his senior year of high school. Looks like he doesn't miss much time in the weight room. A strong, power athlete who has excelled in the shot put in discus, especially relative to his size. Productive as a sophomore and junior against strong competition in a high classification of high school football in Georgia. Excels as a downhill runner with the ability to run through arm tackles at the second level. Decisive in reading his blocks and doesn't hesitate in getting upfield. Flaunts a strong stiff arm and runs with good contact balance. Lacks high level burst and a true top gear in the open field at this point. Projects as a Power 5 starter with the upside to develop into an NFL Draft pick.

To me, Brown is a solid back but Tank can be a game changer. I'm more ticked about missing him than Brown.

I saw somebody on Twitter today refer to him as a bigger Larry Rountree. That would do quite nicely!

I liked them both. A Lot. I think Tank is great, but I think given the chance, Cody brown could be as good. Just my opinion, though, and we know what Tank can do, but Cody is still an unknown. So, given the choice right now, it would be Tank. Last year before signing? I would have taken either and been happy.

Knowing what I know now, though I am very happy with what we have.

If he comes to Mizzou he would be the highest ranked RB we have ever had coming out of high school. This is big time if we can land him.

Well, at least the highest-ranked RB that didn't shred his knee in a High School All-Star game before setting foot on campus.

That Mizzou luck has been there throughout the ages.

Tony Temple and Damien Nash both show higher 247 ratings and rankings in their respective RB classes, but he'd be a helluva get.

Mizzou has done well with the lower ranked RBs. Getting a highly ranked would could be huge if your coaches coach him up like they have the others.

Not the highest ranked, but he’d be an awesome addition

Recruiting is really going to a new level with Drink. He’s awesome

Damien Nash went Juco first. Tony Temple though would be the highest ranked, and he was class of 2004. Definitely would be highest ranked out of state.

What a weird kid to be tweeting our recruits multiple times and then going to The dUmp.

More Mizzou fans reacted to his tweets than Miami fans to his Miami tweets, so he definitely got the attention from us.

Tyson Ford, DE from STL who committed to ND did a similar thing to Mizzou, tweeting directly at Mizzou fans a week prior.
