Should we have saw this coming? Maybe not against LSU for sure (as I stated no one saw this coming) but I remember a few weeks UF started so slow against teams they should have dominated from the start (Vandy and Kentucky). Yeah they finished games strong but it makes you think that not putting a complete game together from start to finish was going to bite them.

Florida isn't that great. Mullen is an overrated hack. Bama will destroy them next Saturday.

MuLOLen got complacent after UGA win. He thought he would coast until Bama

Shite I knew that before LSU beat them

But this is the same argument I give to Aggie fans. Not dominating teams such as Vandy, Auburn, and LSU is going to bite. Do not believe they deserve a top 4 spot.

Didn’t see it. Think UF was reading their press clippings. Didn’t play their all star TE as they thought the Cajun Tiggers would be pussies.

This dude benched his player on his senior night even though he was ready to go. He disrespected the opponent and it bit him in the arse.

I've had a bad feeling about us losing a game we shouldn't lose for the last 3-4 weeks. I also didn't expect to win in Atlanta, but I felt we could be competitive. After last night though... nope.

I think after getting over that "Beat UGA" hill, we have just decided to coast to the finish line.

It’s weird, you’d have thought that they would have “woken up” down 27-17 with darn near a whole half to play.

Pitts aside, LSU was playing the 6th string running back and making plays.

Someone on here (a State fan?) had been calling it, said Mullen pulls a bad loss every year and it was due.

He was right, because that game was absolutely on the coach. He put the Gators into coast mode, they thought they'd beat LSU just by showing up. When they fricked around the first half and let LSU stay in the game, and then take the lead into the half, everything spiraled on them.

In truth, Mullens didn't need his all everything TE. He just needed to take his opponent more SERIOUSLY than he did. Plus, the players emulate their coach and thus, chaos! I'm going to leave my starters in so my guy can have the stats.. Players get hurt and then what happens? Chaos! Congratulations Mullens you're victim to your own circumstances.

This was a classic trap game. UF with everything to lose and a big matchcup next weekend, LSU a big dog on the road with lots of distractions and players trying to make it all about them.

I guess I'm not surprised, but definitely amused at how it unfolded.

Outside of Bama, which team has dominated every opponent in 2020?

I’ve been posting for weeks suggesting LSU was going to upset someone. They had a lot of young talent on the field.

Saturdays loss was a combination of a lot of things

Took LSU for granted, wasn't focused
Offense made too many mistakes
Defense sucked
Special teams choked
Undisciplined player made a selfish, stupid decision
Out played by a team that wanted it more
Out coached by a shrimp boat captain.

Probably more reasons could be added. I thought UF was a "shoe in" to win.

Pretty sure Old Sarge had a thread predicting the upset.
