A tip of the hat to the ACC and Big 12

When the B1G called the season off, they expected others to follow suit. Not only did the ACC and Big 12 stand with the SEC, they started games a bit earlier proving that it could be done and adding pressure to the B1G. Now every conference worth a damn is set to play the sport we love

A tip of the hat also to the SEC and BIG 12 for standing with the ACC. We all appreciate each other.

Notre Dame was perhaps the biggest key. The B1G likes to thumb their noses at the SEC as their intellectual inferiors. Suddenly you have an outstanding academic institution smack dab in the middle of B1G country going all-in for football. It made the Michigan schools...and their governor...look especially foolish.

I haven't heard anything of throwing in the towel but the big 12 season isn't out of the woods. They are trying to make it happen though (at least for the moment), which is what adults do.
Nothing has substantially changed in the science to justify a reverse in course, either the presidents were wrong to cancel or they are wrong to restart. Almost wonder if the october start is them hoping they can cancel after an I-told-ya-so moment with the conferences playing.

Don't worry, the B1G will get the last laugh when all of these players start dropping dead like flies on the field.

Go read about the history between ND/Michigan and the Big Ten. Trust me you will understand why ND loves sticking their finger in the eye of the Big Ten

UF and Vandy are ranked higher than 12 of the Big 10 schools, so this is so dumb. The ACC has many more highly ranked schools than the Big 10, but they don't give them shite for playing?

The SEC did bitch out on that 11th game though.
Florida/FSU
SC/Clemson
Georgia/GT
Kentucky/Louisville
LSU/Texas
Baylor/Ole Miss
OU/Tennessee
Bama/BYU
All lost because the SEC bitched out and was too afraid to add an 11th game.

What in the frick is the point of playing this game?
There is literally zero upside for Bama to play this game. None whatsoever. It's like the Bear used to say about the forward pass...only three things can happen, and two are bad. It doesn't help the strength of schedule. It doesn't increase our revenue any significant amount. Winning a blowout does nothing for our resumé. The only things of significance that can happen are bad...play poorly and squeak by, play even more poorly and lose, and get players hurt.
