... took one step closer over the weekend from finishing the season with a perfect 12-0 record against the Bottom 4 in the division. This time with a lopsided 41-point victory by Alabama over Arkansas

Here are the games so far in order of the Win Differential:

Alabama 48, Arkansas 7
Auburn 51, Arkansas 10
Auburn 56, Miss St. 23
Alabama 59, Ole Miss 31
LSU 36, Miss St. 13
Alabama 47, Texas A&M 28
Auburn 28, Texas A&M 20

Average Margin of Victory: +27.6 points

There are only 5 games remaining with the ESPN FPI chance per game that the Top 3 team wins:

Texas A&M at LSU (83.0%)
LSU at Ole Miss (91.1%)
Alabama at Miss St. (91.1%)
Ole Miss at Auburn (92.5%)
Arkansas at LSU (97.7%)

Chance the SEC West Top 3 go undefeated in those five games is 62.3% according to FPI, but I think that seems low.

The questions that remain:

1. Can the Big 3 in the SEC West go a perfect 12-0 against the Bottom 4 for the first time ever?

2. Can they get that average margin of victory up above 4 touchdowns? It currently sits at 27.6 points.

It really is the haves and the have nots in the west. Auburn might not truly be a have, but A&M looks to be the only one squarely in the middle. We've already gone 3-0 vs the bottom 3 and could go 0-3 vs the top 3 depending on the Lsu game.

ole miss isn't that bad. I didn't think moo state was that bad- but they appear to be fading out.

Arkansas, however, is that bad. Moo State vs Arkansas shapes up to be a huge game for both squads. they both desperately need this win.

If they beat Ole Miss Saturday, they are squarely in the top group. That will put them 4-0 against the bottom four teams. They beat Arkansas by 41. They beat MSU by 33. And they beat A&M by 8.

They are definitely better than the Bottom 3, but they are by far closer to those bottom 3 than they are the Top 3.

Remember, the Aggies beat Arkansas by just 4 points..... Auburn and Alabama both beat that same Arkansas team by 41 points.

A&M beat State by 19 points.... solid, but Auburn beat them by 33 and LSu beat them by 23.

A&M beat Ole Miss by just 7 points.... Alabama beat the Rebs by 28 and Auburn is a 19-point favorite this weekend.

Group them however, but if they go 0-2 Bama & Lsu then its clear they're probably not as good as them.

I know it's literally the faggie's biggest game of the year, regardless of post-season. We've seen the rings and cups, but we have Burrow, Orgeron, and Brady. You have Mond, Fisher, and yell leaders.

Refs won't be enough to save you this year, fig.

Not even in the same league as last year. We graduated from the minors and went pro.

Okay. A 3-point loss to LSU in Baton Rouge doesn't seem like a giant separation to me.

1-2: Bama-LSU TBD by their game
3. Auburn
4. A&M
5-6 Ole Miss-Miss St TBD by Egg Bowl
7. Ark

It's pretty cut and dry this season
