Comes against a top ten LSU team in his first road start.

With zero help from the run game.

All he needs is experience.

Actually amazing our offense did so well. Playing in Death Valley with no run game. I wish Mullen would have used screens more in the second half when they were blitzing just about every down.

He threw some darts for TDs. I liked what I saw last night.

Trask seems to be improving every week. Happy for the guy and our offense. I know the receivers love opening it up and making plays.

Also no Kadarius Toney. That kid would’ve lit up LSU.

I don't even know that the pick in the end zone was his own fault...the WR may have ran the route wrong and Trask threw it where he should have been?

Trask is going to get better with more snaps. Pitts is a monster for us. The OL is bad but at times they do stalemate the pass rush and have given Trask a little more time to throw. The amazing thing is that he seems to know when he has a little more time than usual and will scan the field.

It was a bad read, honestly, but I don't think it's his problem for another reason: When you have a QB who is in such a rhythm like he was, just methodically moving it down the field without problem. When you take him out of the game he gets cold, so when he comes back in the speed of everything is jacked up.

The speed of the route is off because he's running out late onto the field and has to accelerate his reads and playcall. It was just not a good situation for Trask or the rest of the team.

If he starts next year, he will have a sensational year. But Mullen just sort of needs to understand that he's the guy right now. Fans like him, he just gets work done and seems very humble.

His stoic behavior worries me, though. Feel like he's a serial killer with how calm he is.

Not only did Trask do great in that environment so did Emory. Both of our QBs were great. I feel that they can handle any environment moving forward.

Emory is serviceable but similarly this game went exactly opposite of what Mullen claims is his philosophy. When I say this, there's nothing behind the comment like "I'm unhappy with Mullen" or "I'm not sure Mullen should be here" but this is the type of game that could break Emory.

He should not be sharing snaps in huge games like these when he's an underclassman. Not only because it threw our offense out of sync when it mattered most, but one of the reasons Franks turned out to be such a head case was because he started a game way too early in his career and it just ruined his psyche.

I'm not saying that happened Emory, but putting Emory in the Red Zone several times in the game was begging for another QB to lose their self-confidence. I would much rather see Emory start a drive and finish it, then move on from there.

Both QBs were extremely poised, and it should only give us a lot more hope for the future.
