I wonder if they'll use Kemal as the starter now, or if they'll slide Kazee over to safety and use one of the other corners as the starting nickel.

I don't know enough about the defensive back depth to know which position has the better backups.

That’s like a year and a half recovery too I think.

Well Allen tore his last year and made it back for this season, so I guess it depends on the player.

I just remembered that Neal is in his 4th year now. As a 1st round pick, I wonder if the Falcons will pick up his 5th year option? This could end up being a financial killer for Neal. I'd imagine that the Falcons would have tried to sign him to an extension after this season was over. Now I'm not so sure.

Very true. Sucks very much for him in many ways. But we did bring back Vic, so anything is possible. But I wound have to think not at this point.

lol, I thought that there was no way they'd NOT pick up that flag. Boy was I wrong.

Surprised they didn't flag him for taunting as well while he laid on the ground cursing due to the pain.

This made me viscerally angry. Ridiculous to flag him for it, and it took a 3rd down in the redzone, back to 1st down. Considering the spread of the game, it was a huge difference maker.

just read that they MIGHT work out free agent options this week, including Eric Berry.

If he's the best player available... he'd provide both the leadership and experience we need desperately in KeKe's absence.

On top of that... he's an Atlanta guy who grew up pulling for the Birds. How could you hate that?

my thoughts exactly. I have no clue if he can still play or not, but dammit he checks every other box. if he can play at all, then it seems to be a no brainer.

also looks like they have about 3.5 mil or so in cap space available. looks like the chiefs are paying him dead money this year as well, so I would imagine we could get him while remaining under the cap.

Does it really matter. That crappy pass defense isn’t getting better anytime soon.

Clearly he is an ex player!

Read much?

My guess is Hutson Mason. It's gotta be him!

Put Kazee at safety and start Sheffield in the slot. Ismael is awful in coverage.
