First criteria should be a Conference Champion, then look at who they beat. All the Bama Fans want to point to who Ohio St lost to, but ignore that they beat three top 12 teams. While Bama's best win was against MSU.

OSU, especially since they had beaten 3 teams in the Top 12.

I can't believe I'm sticking up for Alabama but its late Friday,I'm ready to go and you're crazy.
Alabama smacked #2 Florida State to start the season. Its not their fault Fla State folded like a cheap tent.LSU was pretty good and they never let us in the game--LSU beat Auburn that year.
The committee also has a memory and while not something they publicized amidst much howling they voted in Ohio State over Penn State the previous season and Clemson ran them out of town, 31-0.
You can hate Alabama until the cows come home. But if you're being honest with yourself I don't see how you could have picked Ohio State over Alabama. Alabama then proceeded to wear out a solid Clemson team. Then came back and won the thing vs Georgia.Had Clemson beaten Alabama 24-6 the Ohio State thing would have had more legitimacy just like Penn State's claim the prior season.

OSU was the Conference Champion that had 4 Teams in the Top 12, and they beat all three of those other teams. Everyone looked at who they lost to, but forgot who they beat and who Bama beat. That is why the Committee sucks.

Big ten and pac 12 were always the slowest to move on anything innovative. All over a stupid rose bowl.
