Rule changes
Probably still not enough for the “you’re soft if you want to remember your own name in your 50’s” crowd, but still a positive change.

I agree. It'll be interesting to see it in action... I'm not sure I agree with the idea that it becomes penalty free if I can't satisfy every aspect of it... but I definitely agree that ejection shouldn't just be willy nilly, "well, we thought we saw it and evidence doesn't prove otherwise", you're out.

They can change the verbiage all they want in the rule, but until we see how it is actually applied, then I'll wait before giving them a pat on the back. I'm still against ejecting players for a non-egregious first time targeting offense in a game. They could make it very simple by doing what basketball does and having a targeting 1 and targeting 2 penalty. But why should we expect the NCAA to do anything logical.
