How about we wait until we see how Baylor Cupp, Glen Beal and Jalen Wydermyer turn out before we make this claim.
The highest drafted tight end A&M has ever had was Martellus Bennett in the 2008 draft (2nd round).
Even though Jace Sternberger destroyed Bennett's career records in one season, he was still only drafted in the the 3rd round.
Prior to Sternberger, no A&M Tight End had caught a touchdown pass since 2013 and Sternberger had more receptions in the first four games of 2018 than all tight ends combined under Sumlin.

We've already addressed this. Over the last 40 years, the only Tight Ends to make an impact (or future impact) have been Rod Bernstein, Dan Campbell, Martellus Bennett and Jace Sternberger.
