No one knows for sure, he was never going to be a long term president. He was sent in to turn OU educational budget from the red to black. He fired a lot of prominent teachers who were due raises and such and then the racism thing really blew up because the students didn’t think the university did enough to stop it. All in all he’s retiring from working period his last job was at some big oil company and literally worked for free for first 3 months. Think he was in over his head and realized it, he loved football though.
