Tylan Perine is coming as a preferred walk on. He could see time at punter.

very excited to see what shakes out for the entire team in '19; and especially excited to see the OL. So much talent coming in with the freshmen and the redshirts from '18. I, for one, am not that taken with Leatherwood and would not be surprised if Neal (hear that he has dropped significant lb's already) got the start by time the Duke game gets here.

Hoping that the DL returns to the "Starters" and "Starters-b" as in the Bo Davis years. There seems to be some adequate talent to begin that type of rotation again.

LB's... with the injuries that have created so many issues in the past 2 seasons, I am 1st hoping for few to no injuries this year, and some PT for the new (and redshirted) players to start building depth for a welcome change.

I am seeing B Rob having a break out year and then Sanders pushing N Harris for carries. Could see all 3 really contributing but dont count out Ford stepping up for his turn either.

Think it will be difficult to keep Alfano off the field, he seems motivated (tho the #'s may need to be addressed before he eats himself into Nose Tackle)

Overall extremely excited to see the Spring game and watch the development of these guys thru out the new season

Saban’s loyalty to upper classmen

I can't for the life of me understand how a Bama fan could have watched the last 12 years of Bama football and say this. Saban has a normal approach and attitude toward playing the best player regardless of age - and of course, the best players are more often than not the more experienced guys - and still there are lots and lots and LOTS of examples that have showed Saban's readiness and willingness to put youth on the field.

Saban has shown no heightened level of "loyalty to upperclassmen" (it's one word, btw) and any Bama fan who believes this is completely wrong and likely riddled with similarly awful takes on the Crimson Tide.

Didn’t play much youth this year on the DL is my point and I think it hurt us down the stretch this year, but actually DGAF what you think.

I think Nick will evolve this coming year. He will rotate the DL, even the LBers this year. He will use the first 6 games as a preseason. He will set aside his pride for his defense and think of the playoffs.

He will use Dabo as a template in what he did with his offense last year with TL, Ross, and others. He took his lumps at the beginning. By the 5th game of TL starting they were humming. He took advantage of weak opponents and thought long term.

Hope so . Not knocking the GOAT in any way but seeing Buggs , Davis, and Williams along with Moses and Wilson getting so many snaps in the blowout games was frustrating. It risks injury , builds no depth , and wears down players in games that we usually play in that others don’t like the SECCG and playoffs . This is a message board and it is ok to question some decisions made by our staff and not follow blindly off a cliff like zombies or something Saban is the best thing to happen at Bama but it’s ok to disagree sometime with his decisions. Some here take it as a knock on him or the program and it is not meant in that way at all .

Of course Bear. Superman has kryptonite, and Nick has his, in a refusal to sit his defensive starters until 5 min left in a 40 pt blowout, and no timeouts on defense.

End of the day we take it, because it's Superman/Nick.

Take it easy man. This is a message board he shared his opinion and you share yours, but no reason to be a dick about it.

Chris Sailer Kicking:

Player Review Tylan is a very talented punting and kicking prospect. An excellent athlete with a powerful leg. He has outstanding natural ability. Shows he can hit a good ball on field goal at times. He is still a bit raw in this area. Kickoffs are strong. He drives the ball deep with solid hang time. He could be a special punter. Shows he can hit a big time ball at times. As he works on his footwork, timing and consistency he will shoot up the rankings in this area. I see him as a college P/KO specialists. Look for Tylan to have a great showing at Vegas XXXI. One to keep a close eye on. Strong combo prospect.
(seems lately this could be the kiss of death for Bama Kickers... just saying
